Series consists of reproductions of correspondence (1915-1916), minutes of elections (1875-1973), amalgamation address (1916), and official documents (1915-1916).

Series consists of correspondence ( 1834, 1984, 1994, 2000); minutes of meetings (1983-1984). As well, series consists of reference materials such as booklets, news articles, reports and statistical data that are, in any way, connected with the Presentation Sisters.

The series consists of three sub series:
Guest books, 1963- ;
Service registers, 1963- which include baptisms, confirmations, marriages and burials;
Parish lists.

Series forms part of Nova Scotia Legislative Council fonds and consists of petitions, committee reports, draft resolutions, correspondence (of the president of the Council), memorials, speech drafts, addresses to the lieutenant governor and replies, Orders in Council, proposed amendments and bills. Series also includes housekeeping records.

Series forms part of the <a href="department-of-provincial-secretary-fonds">Provincial Secretary fonds</a> and consists of correspondence relating to the registry of joint stock companies, other departments, and agencies for which the Provincial Secretary was responsible, such as the Board of Film Censors. Series also includes administrative records relating to civil service resignations and hirings, records relating to departmental and provincial finances, election writs, records relating to protocol, proclamations and revocations of Governor-in-Council appointments. Records pertain mostly to the tenure of C.L. Beazley, deputy provincial secretary, 1949-1966.

Series forms part of the <a href="department-of-provincial-secretary-fonds">Provincial Secretary fonds</a> and consists of registered letters received register, 1919-1924; appointment registers, 1878-1922; certified insurance agent registers, 1925-1949; oath of allegiance registers, 1854-1925; municipal officer appointment registers, 1864-1919. There is one appointment register for each county, except Cumberland, for which there are two; three appointment registers are provincial in scope.
