Department History

Series consists of a chronological history of the department and a 2-disc DVD set documenting the history and development of the department through photos. The series documents the name changes of the department (Department of Dietetics, Nutrition & Food Services, Retail Food Services), as well as technological changes, important purchases, changes in methods and procedures, creation of committees, renovations, programs, internships, awards, and the opening and closing of cafés in the hospital.

Cette série comprend la correspondance expédiée au ministre de la Marine par les officiers civils et militaires, l'évêque, les missionnaires et diverses autres personnes de la colonie. A cette correspondance étaient joints, entre autres pièces, des mémoires, états de dépenses, états de matériel et d'approvisionnement, devis des fortifications, journaux de campagnes, relations de combats, actes notairés, règlements et ordonnances des gouverneurs et intendants, brevets de concessions, actes du pouvoir souverain, listes de passagers et de bateaux, délibérations du Conseil de Marine et dépêches échangées entre colonies. Classée par ordre chronologique, cette documentation ne concerne pas exclusivement le Canada et comprend, de fait, un certain nombre de pièces relatives aux autres possessions françaises d'Amérique du Nord De nombreux éléments ayuant été oubliés lors de la reliure de ces documents, on a constitué, pour les recevoir, des groupes complémentaires placés à la suite des groupes principaux. Il importe donc de consulter ces annexes qui permettent quelquefois de combler des lacunes. De nombreuses pièces ont été reclassées, en particulier dans les séries D (Troupes), E (Personnel) et dans les diverses séries F, spécialement dans F3. (Collection Moreau de Saint-Méry)
