The fonds consists of six company ledgers: 1894 - 1896, 1896, 1898 - 1901, 1900, 1904 - 1905, 1923 - 1926. Also includes 15 pages of correspondence and notes. The ledgers note expenses for various operations in the mine and in the company owned premises in town. The letters and notes concern the purchase of explosives for the mine and discusses the Consolidated Cariboo Hydraulic Mining Company.

The fonds also consists of A.W. Dingman's reports and prospectuses related to the Calgary Natural Gas Company and Calgary Petroleum Products Company; Claude Dingman's notes and articles on the petroleum industry; Turner Valley operative results (1913-1935); and Corrine Dingman Patteson's family scrapbook. Includes a 1956 speech by Eric Harvie about the discovery of oil in Turner Valley.

"This fonds consists of documents related to James C. Hovey's work with the provincial Department of Public Works as a supervisor of roads. There are letters regarding Hovey's responsibilities with the Department of Public Works, road tax notices, certificates, and correspondence with the Cobbler Sexton Mining Company Limited.

There are also documents from the parish of Northampton, school district 2, including minute books, teacher agreements for both Ella R. Purvis and Etta Grant (1919), and classroom registers for teachers Effie M. Forest and Annie E. Gibson, dated 1915-1916 and 1925-1926. The relationship between James Hovey and the school records is unknown."

This fond consists of the business records of Erlon Bell and his son, Samuel W. Bell. It includes correspondence, account books, day books, ledgers, cashbooks, accounts receivable, time books, wage books, journals, payroll record cards, year-end statements, vouchers, and invoices. Also included are workers group insurance records, workmen's compensation records, legal records, and information relating to cutting and scaling.

There are also materials related to a number of companies, including North Carleton Land Co. (1965-1967), Carleton Development Co. Ltd., Monquart Lumber Co. Ltd., Woodstock Woodworking Factory Ltd., Lockhart Woodworking Limited, Flemming Industries Ltd., Flemming & Gibson Ltd., Dead River-Merican Industries Ltd.
