Fonds consists of patient records, manuscripts, lecture notes, course material, correspondence, published articles, speeches, photographs, subject files, and papers of various professional associations, all created or collected by Dr. Jones during his career.

The materials in this fonds were generated primarily as a result of Dr. Jones' work as a Psychiatrist in Halifax and as a faculty member at Dalhousie University. Dr. Jones was a member of many associations and the bulk of this collection consists of meeting minutes and correspondence related to these associations.

Fonds consists of correspondence, notes, briefs and reports, meeting minutes, financial records, circulars, photographs, and other records relating to the fishing and fish processing industry in Atlantic Canada and government regulations of the fisheries. Also included are similar types of records from sister organizations the Atlantic Fishing Vessel Association, Atlantic Fisheries By-Products Association, and Atlantic Queen Crab Association.

Fonds consists of records created by Symphony Nova Scotia in the course of its regular business activities. The majority of the records were created during the process of concert-planning, including special concerts, annual concerts, tours, and concert series. These records include artist contracts, marketing and development documents, internal memos, and correspondence with artists and sponsors.

Records also consist of internal management records, including personnel records, office management files, and the files of the Board of Directors, Executive Director, and Chief Executive Officer. The financial administration of the Symphony is documented though budgets, statements, ledgers, and tickets sales data.

The fonds also contains concert programs and promotional material such as posters, advertisements, flyers, newsletters, and other publications. The final section of the fonds consists of audiovisual and graphic material. There are audio recordings of performances and interviews of Symphony personnel as well as video recordings of advertisements and performances. The graphic material includes promotional photographs and photographs of the orchestra.

This collection consists of records regarding Theatre Arts Guild's management and productions from the establishment of the guild in 1931 to 1999. Materials include administrative documents and some financial records, programs, posters, newsletters, histories of Theatre Arts Guild and information about amateur theatre in Halifax, correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings, and scrapbooks.

The fonds includes manuscripts of most of his published works—novels, short stories, articles, radio broadcasts and plays, and forewords for other works—from 1929 to 1976; research notes and general historical studies; sound recordings; correspondence covering the years 1914 to 1994 (including letters with other authors and his publishers, among others); diaries (closed at the author's request until 2019); photographs; memorabilia; material related to his father who fought and died in World War I; and several scrapbooks containing reviews of his books, clippings, and other research material.

Fonds contains both original records and reproductions of materials related to Reverend Thomas McCulloch, including one glass plate of an etching of McCulloch, a hand-written paper concerning vegetation in the Minas Basin, shorthand notes, a ticket for McCulloch’s moral philosophy course at Dalhousie College, microfilmed copies of three books by McCulloch, a Dalhousie thesis discussing McCulloch and the Nova Scotia educational system, and correspondence with Sam Cunard, Lord Dalhousie, the University of Edinburgh, and the Wernerian Natural History Society.

Fonds consists of law publications and print materials relating primarily to government, the Canadian Constitution, or to Newfoundland joining confederation; copies of speeches; correspondence with family, friends, and professional associates, including some from former Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King; newspaper clippings and memorabilia; photographs; and a small group of other miscellaneous documents which includes stories of MacDonald written by friends and associates for the Dalhousie University Faculty of Law publication Hearsay.

Fonds consists of materials created and accumulated by Wilfrid Creighton, including correspondence, articles, manuscripts, financial and legal documents, minutes, photographs and a variety of personal papers and memorabilia. Materials relate to Creighton's education, career and long-time interest in forestry, but also include some materials relating to family history.
