The collection consists of posters issued by government agencies and non-profit organizations in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, and France during and shortly after the First World War and Second World War. The posters were issued for propaganda purposes, for recruiting, for fund-raising campaigns, and for safety campaigns.

The collection consists of a scrapbook (1943-1947) containing newsclippings, 55 photographs, and 2 programs, possibly compiled by a civilian employee, documenting newsworthy events, graduating classes, and social activities of No. 2 A.O.S. and Northwest Air Command, and news related to Air Force involvement in the Second World War in general. The accession also included a scrapbook documenting the Royal Visit of 1939, and a Canadian Wheat Board permit documenting deliveries of grain to elevators at Bulwark, Alberta by W. Bowen in 1942-1943. It is not known whether the latter two items are related to the Station Edmonton scrapbook.
