The fonds consists of 3 bound notebooks and 3 photographs. Two of the notebooks contain school material; the third appears to be a delivery ledger and contains names and addresses of St. John's residents. One photograph appears to be a wedding portrait, entitled the James family; two are class portraits, entitled St. Bond's [sic] Class and Convent St. John's 1880's.

File 1.1.11.1 contains negatives of graduating class photographs 1888-1974: negatives for 1889, 1892 to 1899 are missing. File 1.1.11.9 contains portraits of TGH School of Nursing Superintendents Mary Agnes Snively, Jean I. Gunn, and Mary E. Macfarland.

Reports were prepared for various purposes and submitted to various individuals and corporate bodies: see sub-series-level descriptions for details. Reports contain information pertinent to the administration of the School. Some reports contain information relating to individual students of the School.

Annual Graduation and Year-End Reports

Sub-series consists of reports prepared by the Superintendent/ Director of the TGH School of Nursing and presented at the School’s annual convocation ceremonies for graduating students in May or June and/or submitted to the TGH Superintendent/ Executive Director as an academic year-end report, usually in September. Graduation reports 1 to 7 and 12, for the years 1882 to 1888, and 1893 are missing. For each of the years 1889 to 1906 a single report was prepared and was presented at graduation. For each of the years 1907-1921, 1923-1925 two reports were prepared: the first was presented at graduation in May; the second was submitted to the TGH Superintendent. For each of the years 1926 to 1970 a single report was prepared and was presented at graduation. For each of the years 1971 to 1973 a single report was prepared and was submitted to the TGH Executive Director.

Reports contain general information pertinent to the administration of the School, including statistics re: staff, applicants, admissions, and graduations; developments in the School’s curriculum and facilities; scholarships and awards; and information about staff appointments.

This fonds consists primarily of the administrative records of the New Brunswick Teachers' Association. It includes minutes of the NBTA Executive Committee meetings (1919-1968), of the NBTA Annual General meetings (1922-1978), and of the NBTA and New Brunswick Teachers' Federation Board of Directors and Executive Committee meetings (1969-1977).There are also copies of reports and briefs (1958-1966); a partial membership list (1919-1920); and copies of several publications, including "Association Activities" (1971), "Nouvelles NBTA/NBTA News" (1969-1971, 1996), "NBTA Newsletter" (1963-1966), "Educational Review" (1889-1970), "Manuel de la NBTA" (1967), and the Association Subject Council publications (1967-1983).

Also included is a copy of Eric D. MacKenzie's 1971 UNB master of education thesis, "The Historical Development of the New Brunswick Teachers' Association" and a copy of A. M. Anderson's 1946 essay, "A History of the New Brunswick Teachers' Association."

This fonds consists of administrative and printed records of the Rothesay Collegiate School, now known as RCS Netherwood.

There are five student registers, covering the years 1891-1978, as well as issues of the school's magazine, "Blue and White," for most years between 1906-1981. Also include are photocopies of the Reverend W. R. Hibbard's and William Thompson's correspondence pertaining to the history of the school. The student registers are available on microfilm.
