The fonds contains nine minute books belonging to the Hamilton Women's Institute for the period 1936-2002. The books include minutes of the Institute's monthly meetings, financial information, annual reports, membership lists, roll call, and lists of executive officers.

The fonds consists of a photocopy and transcript of a letter written by Emily Frances Bowman of Dorking, England to her nephew Harold Swabey. The majority of the letter contains genealogical information about the Swabey family, including detailed information on Colonel William Swabey. The letter also contains information about houses in the Charlottetown area throughout the latter half of the 1800s, as well as brief mention of the Stratford steamer, Nine Mile House, and the Mi'Kmaq settlement at Rosebank.

Mayfield Hall fonds

The fonds consists of a ledger which contains minutes (1902-1958) and accounts (1900-1958) of the Mayfield Hall Company. The minutes are primarily of annual meetings and include lists of shareholders and names of directors. The ledger also contains a few loose items, including an Assessment Roll of the Mayfield School District for the year ending 1948, Xavier Doiron's share certificate dated 9 May 1949, and the hall's fire insurance policy dated 27 January 1934. The fonds also contains a Cattle Act meeting book (1901-1922) from the Mayfield area which includes the names of Reeves appointed to enforce rules regarding domestic animals in the area. The fonds also includes a brief undated history of the Mayfield Hall and Cattle Act meetings written by Shirley Andrews.

Macgowan family fonds

The fonds contains various papers related and belonging to the descendants of Peter Macgowan, including a petition of appeal (n. d.), land records (1797, 1799, 1874), an unidentified account book (1859-1883), an unidentified sketch (n. d.), a wedding announcement for Aenas A. MacDonald and Margaret J. MacDonald (1904), a soubenir (ca. December 1901) of Elizabeth L. Macdonald who died 12 July 1901, a letter from James C. Pope to a Mr. Tilly regarding PEI joining Confederation (1873), and correspondence regarding a land dispute between John Macgowan and the Estate of John Knight (1871, 1878). There is also some correspondence (1890-1895) relating to the building of the St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church in Souris to which Jane Macgowan contributed financial support. The fonds also contains transcribed extracts from a scrapbook kept by Jane Caroline MacCallum Macgown, wife of John Macgowan, ca. 1907. The scrapbook was transcribed by Jane's great-grandson, Kenneth Owen Macgowan, ca. 1965.

Burgess family fonds

The fonds contains a scrapbook kept by Marian Victoria "Queenie" Burgess Peake between 1901 and 1907. The scrapbook contains clippings, watercolour sketches, and quotes which have been copied into the book. Some loose newspaper clippings, a couple of postcards, and a negative of an unidentified woman are also tucked inside the scrapbook. The fonds also contains a letter written by Barbara Burwash (daughter of Charles Wright and Frances May Burgess; neice of Marion Burgess Peake) to a Mrs. J. Peake in Charlottetown in 2002. The letter contains genealogical information about the Burgess family.

Brackley Women's Institute fonds

The fonds consists of nine minute books (1947-2002) and four account books (1947-1990) belonging to the Brackley Women's Institute. These records include meeting minutes, financial information, membership lists, and annual reports. The fonds also contains some historical information and correspondence about the Brackley school house, a list of the teachers (1834-1974), and information about the Community Pride Program.

Fanning family fonds

Textual material in the fonds contains a copy of the two volume "History of the Fanning family: a genealogical record to 1900 of the descendants of Edmund Fanning...", a copy of the entry about Edmund Fanning (1737-1818) from the "Dictionary of North Carolina biography", and an article by Simon Bendall from the "Journal of the Society for Army Historical Research" entitled "The uniform of Colonel Edmund Fanning (1739-1818)". The last article refers to two miniatures of General Fanning, one most likely painted at the time of the American Revolution, the other just prior to his death. Colour reproductions of these miniatures appear in the article and photographic copies are also included in the fonds. In addition there are also colour copy prints of Lt. Nathaniel Fanning (1775-1805) and Lady Louisa Augusta Wood (1786-1872).
