The fonds consists of copies of textual records which include Thomas Tugwell Jr.'s 16 page journal dating from November 29, 1906 to April 30, 1907, recording Royal Mail transport by dog team between Log Cabin and Atlin, B.C., and his signed appointment to the position of Postmaster for Log Cabin, dated September 26, 1908. The fonds also contains Thomas Tugwell Sr.'s Preemption Map, dated June 24, 1898, for 160 acres of land at Log Cabin, adjacent to the Mounted Police Reserve on the Bennett Trail.

The fonds consists of a typewritten carbon copy of the 1903 Big Salmon Hydraulic Company annual report, submitted by J.J. Maney, General Manager to the stockholders.

The fonds consists of a bound photocopied manuscript of Professor Elmer Harp Jr.'s original field notes "North to the Yukon Territory via the Alcan Highway in 1948" and the published "Occasional Papers in Archaeology No. 14 - North to the Yukon Territory via the Alcan Highway in 1948: Field Notes of the Andover-Harvard Expedition". The field notes, with accompanying diagrams, describe his trip from Boston to Whitehorse and the subsequent field work. The book, published as part of the Archaeology Programme of the Government of Yukon, is a transcribed copy of his field notes with all of his diagrams and a selection of photographs. Also included in the fonds are 367 colour slides taken by Elmer Harp during the expedition from May to September 1948 and depict one of the first civilian trips on the Alaska Highway.

The fonds contains photographs taken by Lewis G. Billard during his trip to the Yukon in the summer of 1949 for the Northern Insect Survey. The photographs include landscapes, buildings, street scenes, and aerial views of Dawson, Whitehorse, Keno, Mayo and Watson Lake. Images of Dawson include the airport and Canadian Pacific Airway planes, S.S. Klondike and S.S. Casca, Royal Canadian Mounted Police barracks, Yukon Consolidated Gold Corporation power plant, gold fields and dredging operations on Hunker and Bonanza Creeks, Hunker Summit, Moosehide Mountain and village, and Discovery Day activities. Other images include the Whitehorse airport, Main Street, Haeckel Hill in Whitehorse, and Mount Haldane in Mayo. The fonds also contains Billard's scientist licence, handwritten notes and timetable, and photocopies of Dr. William Judd's published diary and Billard's article written for Yukoner Magazine in 1999, all relating to the Northern Insect Survey conducted in 1949.

The fonds consists of microfilm of textual records found in the Billy Biggs Blacksmith Shop, and attributed to the operation of the shop.

The fonds consists of photographs copied from the Birch's family album, and a photocopy of a letter from Katie Birch. The photographs are family shots taken in the Dawson City area, including Sidney and Katie's wedding portrait done by H.G. Goetzman in Dawson City, as well as views of the Star Roadhouses on 30 Below Bonanza, 76 Below Bonanza. The letter was written in 1899 to Katie's nephew, Colin Campbell, son of Mame McMullen Campbell. In the letter Katie refers to pictures in Murray Morgan's book "One Man's Alaska" and recounts what she remembered of these scenes and her time in the North.

The collection consists of photographs copied from originals collected by Bill Birchmore and Molly McCombe of their lives in Dawson. The photographs show Bill, other dredge men, White Pass & Yukon Route airplanes, mining camps, dredges, Dawson and the Klondike creeks.

The fonds consists of a videocassette copy of films taken by and of Fred Birnbaum during his work on the Alaska Highway and Canol Road. There are shots of army life at the military bases in Watson Lake, MP 308 (NWT), and Whitehorse; construction crews; furlough trips to Alaska and New York City; and scenery along the highway.

The fonds consists of photographs taken by George Black, his correspondence when he was a lawyer in Whitehorse, Yukon and home movies taken by Black, 1930s - 1950s. The series are: Photographs and Films; and Correspondence.
