The fonds consists of the parish registers of the Anglican Parish of Alberton. The registers contain baptism, marriage, burial and confirmation records from the parish as well as reports on the physical, spiritual and financial condition of the various churches within the parish by the Bishop and the Archdeacons who visited.

The fonds contains records of baptisms, marriages, and burials as well as annual, congregational, official board, and trustee minutes of the Methodist and Presbyterian circuits which eventually made up the Alberton Elmsdale Pastoral Charge of the United Church of Canada. These have been intellectually arranged into the following five series:

Series 1: Alberton Circuit of the Methodist Church
Series 2: Alberton Charge of the Presbyterian Church
Series 3: Montrose Circuit of the Presbyterian Church
Series 4: Alberton Pastoral Charge of the United Church
Series 5: Cascumpec United Church

Records overlap and some of the post 1925 United Church records (Series 4) are contained within the record books of the Methodist and Presbyterian churches (Series 1 & 2)

The fonds consists of baptisms, marriages and burials from 1842-1895 with 4 burials from the years 1947, 1959, 1964 and 1965, Vestry minutes, including annual and parishioners meetings minutes, and several lists of confirmations, communicants (including one from St. Alban's in Mt. Stewart) and church families from 1857-1977.

This fonds consists of three baptismal registers microfilmed in chronological order. The first two books record the baptisms preformed by Rev. Daniel MacLean in the years 1894-1914 and 1913-1919. The third book is a record of baptisms performed by Rev. D. M. Lamont from 1920-1928. Each book is preceded by an alphabetical index of its contents. The fonds also contains deaths (1925-1926) and marriages (1921-1925) for the Mermaid, Lot 48 and Churchill circuit.

This fonds consists of the congregational and administrative records of Cornwall United Church and its predecessors, the Methodist and Presbyterian charges of the Cornwall area. When the records were microfilmed in 1975, they were arranged into the following series:

This fonds consists of the minutes of the Presbytery of Prince Edward Island, 1925-1981, as well as a list of ministers (including dates of induction, ordination, and resignation) from various communities throughout the Island between 1918 and 1981. Also included is a copy of the "Report on the State of Religion" submitted to the Presbytery in May, 1883.

Reverend Angus MacAulay fonds : [1783-1827]

The fonds consists of correspondence and documents of Angus MacAulay. A certification dated 1783 documents his performance at Marischal College in Aberdeen. Correspondence between MacAulay and Alexander MacDonald (1789-1791) deals with MacAulay's appointment as factor and commissioner to MacDonald and business matters thereafter. Correspondence with Lord Selkirk (1794-1803) relays information about MacAulay's lot of land in Belfast. Other correspondence consists of requests made by MacAulay to the war office regarding payments and an allowance for his family (1795-1827).

The fonds consists of a ledger of Joseph Rogers, which documents his employment as a blacksmith in North Bedeque from 1860-1864. The ledger records work completed for various men from New Annan, Freetown, St. Eleanors, Indian River, and Summerside. The type of work documented includes shoeing horses as well as fixing axes, forks, chains and wagons.

Charles Winfield Matheson fonds

The fonds consists of biographical sketches on approximately five hundred and seventy two individuals and twelve families from Prince Edward Island. The sketches are one to two pages in length and provide genealogical information as well as the life accomplishments of individuals such as legislator and shipbuilder James Yeo (1788-1868), scientist Francis Bain (1842-1894), and fox farmer and Lieutenant Governor Charles Dalton (1850-1933). Information also contained in the fonds includes Uigg community history, a list of Canadian Universities, an autobiography of Charles Winfield Matheson, a forty-two page manuscript of "Island Families" by Charles Matheson, and information about the Bay Fortune Church, Brudenell Island, and a list of the Premiers of PEI (1873-1953).

Cascumpeque and Fortune Cove Telephone Company fonds

The fonds consists of ledgers from 1932-1954, which document the line expenses, financial reports, minutes of annual and director's meetings, line tax and a list of long distance calls made by telephone owners within the communities of Cascumpeque and Fortune Cove. The minutes and by-laws of the initial meeting in 1910, minutes of shareholder meetings (1911-1928), a list of receipts for expenses (1910-1931), telephone statistics submitted to the Minister of Railways and Canals (1915-1923), and correspondence from R.H. Rayner to the PEI government and the PEI Telephone Company Ltd. (1910-1923) are also included in the fonds. Four boxes of miscellaneous records including toll service statements, receipts, and invoices (1947-1955) also provide information concerning the Cascumpeque and Fortune Cove Telephone Company.
