R.A. Brooks collection

Collection consists of 81 b&w photographic prints of the Brooks heads and one of the Vancouver airport.

Ben William Leeson collection

The fonds consists of 16 photographic prints, some of which are hand-coloured, stamped “B.W. Leeson Quatsino, B.C.”, labelled on the front or back with explanatory information, or signed in ink. One print of a longhouse is stamped “The Leeson Collection Copyright 1914.” The photographic subject matter relates to British Columbia’s Kwakiutl First Nations and the British Columbia landscape. Also included is a copy of Susan Roper's Portraits of the Indians of Quatsino by Benjamin W. Leeson, produced by the Research Project on Early B.C. Photography at the Vancouver Public Library around 1972, and 23 duplicate slides which accompany it.

Gordon Miller collection

The collection consists of nine large watercolour illustrative panels commissioned by the UBC Museum of Anthropology, eight of which were commissioned for the exhibit The Four Seasons: Food Getting in British Columbia Prehistory, which ran from April to November 1979. The other watercolour is from an unidentified exhibit or sourcebook.

Morishita family collection

The collection consists of six series of papers, photographs and artefacts amassed by the Morishita family. The first series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the patriarch of the family, Teiji Morishita. The second series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to Teiji's wife, Sawa Morishita. The third series consists of papers and artefacts amassed while the Morishitas (with the Ebisuzakis) ran the Ebisuzaki Shoten (store) at 337 Powell Street in Vancouver, BC. The fourth series consists of family photographs and artefacts belonging to the Morishita family. The fifth series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the Morishita children. And the sixth series consists of papers and artefacts belonging to the Ebisuzaki family.

The collection consists of two series. The first series consists of family photographs and the second series is an interview of Mitsue Fugeta (nee Sasaki) discussing her life on Powell Street in Vancouver, BC.

UBC Performing Arts Collection

Collection consists primarily of event programmes and calendars published to promote various performing arts productions at UBC. Also included are companion guides for some theatre productions. Materials are arranged in three categories: Theatre Productions, Musical Productions, and Performing Arts – General. Within each category the materials are organized by department, organization, or production series.

Al Neil collection

The collection consists of audio and moving image recordings of performances by Al Neil and various musical ensembles that performed with him (Al Neil Trio, Al Neil Jazz Probe, Al Neil Quartet, and solo efforts). They include performances at the Vancouver School of Art, Simon Fraser University, The Western Front and others. The performances date from 1962 through 1989, although this collection contains CD and DVD copies (not the original recordings).<br>

These copies were produced as part of the Al Neil Project, a 2005 collaborative effort between the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery, New Orchestra Workshop, Coastal Jazz and Blues Society and the grunt gallery.

Robert Smithson collection

The material in the Robert Smithson Collection consists of items collected by the late Vancouver writer and filmmaker Dennis Wheeler. All the material is related to Wheeler’s association with the noted American artist Robert Smithson. Materials in the collection include: articles, correspondence, journals, magazines, catalogues, newspaper clippings, photographs, posters, notes, slides, and negatives.

Hollyburn Ridge collection

The collection consists of material relating to recreational activities at Hollyburn Ridge including ski competitions, ski jumping, the construction and leasing of cabins, and the involvement and organization of local ski clubs and related organizations. These include the Vancouver Ski Club, Westlake and Hollyburn Ski Club, Hollyburn Pacific Ski Club, Canadian Amateur Ski Association, and Hollyburn Ridge Association.
