The fonds consists of photographs and textual records regarding the history of Tsimshian bands on the North Coast. The photographs and text panels were used for a display. There are also photographs from an album of a parade in Prince Rupert in 1961, children outside of homes, totem poles, and a building in Kitwanga. The photographs came from an album that was in the possession of Harold Ryan and were accessed after he passed away.

The fonds consists of materials related to the film "A Test in Time," produced in 1945 by the Prince Rupert and District Union Board of Health. It includes an original script to accompany the film and a video cassette copy of the original film. The film covered various aspects of health in the Prince Rupert region such as industry, child rearing, vaccinations, sanitation, chlorination, pest control, milk production, and diseases. People who were living in Prince Rupert and featured in the film were Medical Health Officer Dr. Roger Knipe, Olive Johnson, Bea Fry, Public Health Nurses, Malcolm Harper, Public Health Inspector, receptionist Phyllis Batt, and Vivian and Irene Harper as members of the public. Also includes the annual report for Skeena Health Unit from 1975, and a pamphlet entitled "Pacific Panorama" distributed by the Department of National Health and Welfare Medical Services that refers to Miller Bay Hospital in September 1962.

The collection consists of photographs from an album dated August 30, 1911, negatives, and textual records. The photographs and negatives include scenes of people at work and play in Prince Rupert, including the first blacksmith shop, picnics on beaches, loggers with a machine and at camp, a sign for Fred Scadden on the side of a car with French Hair Dressing Salon and F.W. Chandler Stoves in the back ground on 6th Street, the 1921 launching of "Canadian Scottish" at the drydock, the 1910 wreck of the steamship S.S. Princess May in Alaska, and a public celebration beside the federal building. Other scenes include the "Athalie" on the water, a boat at a cannery, men at work on a fishing boat, totem poles in Hazelton, and two people in a canoe in front of a village. Textual records include a menu from the Three Sisters Café and a postcard addressed to Bill.

They include the Strathy family, the contractor's hospital in Cow Bay, loaded cars on tracks in the main townsite, boardwalk construction, the Union Bank including construction, lifting the vault for the bank on the dock, the bank's interior and employees, the Kayex at Metlakatla and Prince Rupert. It also includes photographs of Port Simpson including the Hudson Bay store, dock, and Birnie Island.
