Township of Langley cemeteries collection : 1895-1930

The collection consists primarily of municipal cemetery regulations and correspondence to Fort Langley Cemetary regarding burial plots (1895-1930), and lists of people, including birth and death dates, interred in Langley, Murrayville, Fort Langley and Aberdeen cemeteries.

The fonds consists of a ring-bound book and loose notes of historical interest on topics including roads in Fort Langley, B.C., and people living in and around the Fort Langley and Salmon River Flats, B.C., areas during 1919 and 1920, an assortment of original poetry by Percy Worrall, a personal letter to Mr. Herbert Morgan (1967), and a photocopy of the Worrall family tree from 1835-1966.

Fort Langley Women's Institute fonds

Fonds consists of four series: minutes of meetings series from the Fort Langley Womens Institute, from the Flower Show Committee of the Fort Langley Womens Institute, 1923-1928, and from the South Fraser District Board of Womens Institutes of which the Fort Langley Womens Institute was a part of, 1923-1944; correspondence, 1929-1959, between members of the Institute, the Institute with other Womens Institutes, and with the general public; ephemeral series which includes an handbook and poems; and the activities series, 1940-1944, which includes records that document the Fort Langley Womens Institutes participation in agricultural training programmes and V Bundles (also known as British Bundles).

The collection consists of photographs of Langley, Fort Langley and area depicting individuals and families (including pioneers), schools, churches, railroad stations and other buildings, businesses, industry (particularly farming), and community groups and events.
