The prints in this collection were selected from a photograph album which was in the custody of the Kodiak Historical Society, Kodiak Alaska. The majority of the original photographs were taken in 1898-1899 and are primarily of the Skagway - Bennett Lake area. Photographers include Eric A. Hegg and Ford. Images are of the White Pass Trail, sternwheelers, Chilkoot Pass and Major J. M. Walsh.

Lillian Cheatham collection

The collection consists of photographs and textual records kept by Lillian Cheatham. Twenty-one copy negs and reference prints are images taken by J. Doody and Wolfe, 1900-1915, of Whitehorse, Lake Laberge, Dominion Creek, Bonanza Creek, dog teams, Dawson City, the aurora borealis and mining scenes. The six original photographs were taken in the Mayo area, ca. 1919, and show the Minto Bridge, Hotel Royal Alexandra, Keno Hill, Highet Dredge, Bug Town, and the steamer Nisutlin frozen at Minto Bridge. The textual records consist of photocopied photographs of Angus McIntyre and others, ca. 1920, Marie Joussaye Fotheringham, and Martha Louise Black. (A note written by Fotheringham to Lillian Cheatham is attached to the photograph of Black.) There are also photocopies of a postcard written by Fotheringham, entitled "A Memory of Lillian"; the front cover of Marie Joussaye's published book of poetry, "The Songs that Quinte Sang", 1895; and a birthday card sent from Fotheringham to the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. The collection also includes two poems, "Greetings" and "To My Friends", and photocopies of two books of poetry written by Marie Joussaye, "Selections from Anglo Saxon Songs", 1918, and "The Season's Greetings to You", 1926.

Each poster contains hand-tinted photographs of scenes on the trail to the Klondike Gold Fields.

New York Lynx Restoration Project collection

The collection consists of a video of a PBS documentary on the New York Lynx Restoration Project entitled "Return of the Lynx". It shows Andrew Major and others capturing and collaring lynx, interviews with trappers and biologists about the export of a Yukon lynx into New York for their re-population project. The collection also consists of a copy of Andrew Major's thesis entitled "Lynx Predation Ecology and Habitat Use in the Yukon Territory, Canada", finished in 1989.

The photographs show Skagway, Dyea, other areas of Alaska, and White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR) trains, ca. 1898-1910.
