Lorna Walmsley collection

The collection consists of four Klondike Mines Railway (KMR) tickets, a "Souvenir Letter" from Dawson City, Yukon, a menu from the Arcade Cafe of the Royal Alexander Hotel in Dawson City, and a photograph of a view of a Bear Creek mining operation.

Len Tarka collection

The collection consists of copied textual records from Len Tarka's research files documenting the history of the Yukon since 1899. The records contain information on people, mining, buildings and communities in the Yukon. The files are arranged alphabetically by subject. The three original photographs, dated 1944, depict the "Yukon Laundry" building, nine female staff, and a derailed steam engine with a view of two sternwheelers. Names hand printed on the back of the staff photograph are Hilda Dawson, Mary Lane, Anne Riba, Lulla (Williams) Priluski and Hazel Cyr. The colour postcards show Yukon sternwheelers on shore, downtown Whitehorse and the log skyscrapers.

Joe Boyle Repatriation Committee collection

The collection includes a 15 page paper delivered to the Oxford Historical Society in 1973 entitled "Klondike Joe Boyle" by Len Taylor, a public notice of the illustrated talk and an admission ticket to this talk; a list of members of Boyle's Yukon Machine Gun Detachment 1914; copies of newspaper clippings; a letter from the Oxford Historical Society, Joe Boyle Repatriation Committee; and a page of letterhead of the Yukon Historical Society with signatures of Flora Boyle Frisch, Edwin Bennett and Len Taylor. The photographs in the collection include two similar black and white portraits of Joseph Boyle in uniform, circa 1920, two black and white postcards, a copy print of members of Boyle's Yukon Machine Gun Detachment. The three colour photographs, taken in 1973, depict the grave of Col. Joe Boyle in the churchyard of Church of St. James, Hampton Hill, England.

Independent Order of Oddfellows (IOOF) collection

The collection consists of textual records relating to committee trials of misconduct of Brothers Guttshick and Stewart, correspondence with a lodge in Nebraska, copy of a gift certificate, an invoice from Landhal's Emporium and a poster. The photograph is a composite image of 17 members of Dawson Lodge, No. One, in Dawson City, Yukon.

City of Whitehorse collection

The collection consists of six black and white studio portraits of the first City Council of Whitehorse, Mayor Gordon Armstrong, City Clerk Percy Hewitt, Alderman Bill Hamilton, Jimmy Harrington, Sammy McClinton and George Ryder. These six photos were acquired as a unit since they were mounted together in a frame. Also included is a collection of five black and white photographs of North West Mounted Police (NWMP).

MacBride Museum sound recording collection

The collection consists of audio tape cassettes containing storytelling, oral histories, presentations, and other programs and events at the MacBride Museum and in greater Whitehorse. Includes First Nations creation stories told by Louise Profeit-LeBlanc and Ruth Carrol, drum songs by Kolvane Fox, and a narrative of Laurent Cyr's life in the Yukon presented at the 1991 Sourdough Rendezvous. The oral history interviews conducted by Museum staff and other individuals cover topics including biographical information of the persons interviewed, travel, transportation, geography, activities, and people in the Yukon. Interviews include: Roy Minter's visit with MacBride Museum Director Joanne Meehan in 1990 regarding the outdoor artifacts, his arrival in Whitehorse in 1955, involvement with the Museum, and friend William D. MacBride; an interview of Bonnie Piper by Marjorie Almstrom in 1991 on her life and travels in the Yukon beginning 1946; interview of Pat Olsen by Doreen Wahl in 1991 relating to the Whitehorse stamp club; and Neil McLeod interview relating to his work on the sternwheelers 1935-1941 and his photographs of the Yukon. The collection contains other miscellaneous sound recordings: Kitty Smith talking about her carvings, a presentation on Mount Logan by geologist Charlie Roots, the Alcan Highway and Soldier's Summit official openings, Robert Service reading his poetry, Pierre Burton on the Klondike Gold Rush, and various Museum talks and tours. Some of the audio tape cassettes were copied in the 1990s.

G.I. Cameron collection

The collection consists of copies of audio tape cassettes and interview notes relating to the G.I. Cameron interview recorded by Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Historian Dr. Bill Beahen at Mr. Cameron's home on April 13, 1993. The interview took place in commemoration of the centennial anniversary of the first RCMP detachment in the Yukon. Notes for the interview were prepared by Helene Dobrowolsky in July 1994 who used portions of the interview cassettes for her work on the RCMP exhibit at the MacBride Museum. The interview covers Cameron's early childhood, his service for the army, entry into the RCMP, policing in British Columbia and Yukon communities including Keno, Dawson City, Selkirk, the MacMillan River murders and trial, sternwheelers, planes at Selkirk, Yukon winters, his family, and his activities during discharge and after retirement from the RCMP.

MacBride Museum research project collection

The collection consists of audio tape cassettes recorded by various researchers recruited to conduct projects for the MacBride Museum in 1988 and 1993. Includes interviews of Whitehorse area residents by researchers Pam Braun and Lori Jackson relating to the identification of Museum artifacts and photographs of unknown origin, and interviews by Helene Dobrowolsky created in the course of the Whitehorse Copper Belt Research Project to interpret Yukon mining history. The collection is divided into the following: Artifacts Project (1988), Photograph Identification Project (1993), Whitehorse Copper Belt Research Project (1993), Geological Sample Identification Project (1993), and Mining Artifacts Project (1993).
