The fonds consists of copies of correspondence (and transcripts of the copies) between the Veterans Volunteer Reserve (VVR) of Eagleham and District and headquarters in Edmonton. The correspondence includes Unit Commanders reports regarding parades, intelligence work and miscellaneous information; letters about fundraising and recruitment to the VVR; and reports on investigations by members in cooperation with the RCMP: a N.A.R. cook molesting children, pro-Nazi sympathisers, subversive talk and activities such as discouraging young men from joining the army, farm boys unfairly claiming exemptions, people cheating on income tax, abuse of the rationing system, non-cooperation with VVR activities, and Jehovah's Witness activities. A good deal of effort to obtain convictions appears to have been expended by at least one active member with the encouragement of the provincial headquarters, and entrapment is openly discussed as a means of getting convictions. Correspondence from the platoon commander indicates a strong anti-French sentiment, and there are reports naming young French men who have applied for farming exemptions but are not actively farming their land, resulting in their exemptions being withdrawn. The collection also includes a letter registering disatisfaction with the leadership of the platoon commander and a patriotic poem written by Rita J. Powers about the work of the Veterans Volunteer Reserve.

The fonds consists of 12 photographs, newspaper articles and 3 blueprints related to the Wapiti Coal Mines, a map of the County of Grande Prairie, 9 Christmas cards, and 7 booklets.

The fonds consists of personal and military papers and photographs belonging to Roland Pivert; military publications; information and photographs about Exercise Sweetbriar, a joint Canadian and U.S. training exercise in the Yukon and Alaska; information and photographs of the Prairie Command Display taken from community to community in Northwestern Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan; slides, photographs and paper artifacts from Roland's tour of peace-keeping duty in Korea in 1953-1954; and some miscellaneous photographs and cards pertaining to travel while he was in the service and his post-military electrical career.

The fonds consists of four copies of photographs of the Grande Prairie Garage, including the garage [ca. 1925] and its destruction by fire in 1954, a poster advertising the garage [ca. 1948], and three reels of family film [ca. 1960-1963].

The fonds consists of 61 photographs showing various stages in the life of Bill and Clara Sargent: the homestead at Harper Creek, the Morrision and Sargent Bus Service and trucks, the Sargent Sales & Service Garage in Grande Prairie, and the retirement home on the Smoky River.

The fonds consists of scrapbooks containing photographs, stories, paper artifacts, and news clippings covering the history of Hythe from the time it was established as a townsite on the NAR railway in 1929 into the 21st Century. There are also albums of the Hythe Homecoming in 1978, the opening of the Hythe Golden Age Craft Centre in 1981, and Celebrate Hythe in 1989; one album of people and buildings in Hythe ca. 1970-2000. There are also two scrapbooks containing 198 memorial cards to tell us about the people who lived in Hythe, and a loose collection of photographs which cover the history of Hythe from 1916-2007.
