Norrie family collection

The fonds consists of photographs and a letter from Donald Norrie describing in detail some of the photographs. The photographs consist of buildings and people in Grande Prairie in 1928, including pictures of main street; Grande Prairie Hospital and staff; the Grande and Capital Theatres including projection equipment; Gypsy Moth aircraft and aerial photos; and Winter Carnival celebrations.

South Wapiti collection

The fonds consists of 13 photographs of the farmers and settlers who lived in or frequented the South Wapiti area, including Olaf Berg, the Ted Day family, Osbornes, McCulloughs and Ryans. There is also a photo of "The Bee Man" from the Beaverlodge Research Station giving a demonstration on bee keeping for the South Wapiti Community.

These photographs were donated by various donors to South Peace Regional Archives after it was established in 2000, and are not associated with a fonds. Photographs range in date from [1880] to 2003 and cover a range of subjects.

Mack Prentiss collection

The collection consists of a computer disc containing 86 images of the Prentiss and Sheer family, their farm on the shore of Bear Lake, Mack's activities as a child on the farm, workers and farm activities throughout the seasons, and a few scenes of Grande Prairie, as well as 7 photographs relating to the personal life of the Prentiss Family. The Bezanson portion of the collection consists of 66 photographs and 12 postcards and covers Bezanson's first trip into the Peace County in 1906, their homestead on the Smoky River from 1908-1913, his 1913 trip over the Edson Trail in a 1912 Cadillac with an Edmonton Realtor named Davidson, and a collection of Peace Country scenes dating from 1910 to 1930. There is also a Grande Prairie High School newsletter from 1935, a promotional picture of the Dunvegan Bridge, miscellaneous correspondence of the Prentiss family, and a collection of newspaper clippings about the family.
