Fonds consists of records accumulated by Dr. Mary Lobay during her career as a teacher including curriculum materials, yearbooks, school histories, and reports. Fonds consists of records pertaining to the Hawrelak family and includes materials pertaining to Mary's university education, finances, as well as newspaper clippings, correspondence, and published materials. Fonds also consists of records pertaining to Mary's participation in various community or provincial organizations and includes photographs, awards, studies, speeches, contracts, and newsletters. Fonds includes three series: community involvement files, teaching records, and family records.

Also included in this fonds are some of Ernest Brown's personal and business records, including personal diaries, correspondence, articles and essays written by Brown and political writings.
