The fonds includes both oral history interviews and written submissions from community members who immigrated in the 2nd or 3rd wave of immigration to the Central Alberta area. The project involved approximately 75 to 100 participants coming from other parts of Canada and 25 different countries. The fonds also includes promotional material, administrative material, information sheets and general notes.

The fonds consists of personal papers of Agnes Comfort, including correspondence, scrapbooks and newspaper clippings; records of her teaching career including lesson plans, textbooks, examination papers pertaining to the Canadian Nazarene College and River Glen School; and records relating to personal interests such as the Canadian Women's Christian Temperance Union, women's institutes, and the Church of the Nazarene. Includes records of her father, John H. Comfort, and her sister, Mary Reist.

The fonds consists of equipment acquisition forms, requests for furloughs (leaves of absence), various reprimands [ie. for the use of too much coal, or unauthorized leaves] and daily mess orders. Also includes administrative records, correspondence, and a few officer listings as per particular assignment or duty.

The fonds consists of assessment cards and tax rolls for residential and business properties within the City of Red Deer, general assessment information, fees and charges, general property tax information, and specific business information.

The fonds consists of a photocopy of the original manuscript written as a Centennial Project in 1967 by Mrs. A. G. Martin. It speaks to the history of the Sylvan Lake Women's Institute from 1925 - 1967. The original manuscript, along with all other records of the Sylvan Lake Women's Institute, were destroyed in a house fire.

The fonds consist of items accumulated and saved by Mrs. J. T. (Ethel) Morrisroe that give details of her involvement in various Women's Institutes in Central Alberta, including the Alberta Women's Institute, Federated Women's Institute and Associated Country Women of the World organizations. Ethel Morrisroe was Vice-President of the Alberta Women's Institute in 1969 -- 1973 and President from 1973 - 1975. The fonds include handbooks and conference booklets the Women's Institute organizations, personal artifacts, including anniversary cards and invitations, personal notes, parts of a scrapbook, and blank Women's Institute cards, and a large assortment of photographs, newspaper clippings and a history book.

The fonds consists of original photographs and PMTs (photo mechanical transfers) which are printable copies of the original photographs used for news publication for the Red Deer Advocate. The photographs depict a very wide spectrum of subjects and topics.

The fonds consists of the following series: Financial records (tax records, receipts, annual financial statements and statements of grants) and Department of Education (inspection reports, deed of the land, contracts and publications).
