The fonds consists of materials created by the Edmonton Social Planning Council. The fonds consists of administrative correspondence, financial records, annual reports, and publications and general reports, relating to the work undertaken by the Edmonton Social Planning Council. The fonds has been organized into the following classes: General Correspondence 1929-1984; Council Projects 1953-1982; Publications and Reports 1951-1984. Later accruals include Board Minutes, Directors/Mangement Committee Meetings, Youth Services Executive papers, and copies of ESPC periodicals.

The collection consists of materials collected by Stan Williams of Edmonton dating from 1880 to 1987. The collection consists of religious magazines and newspapers, souvenir albums, calendars, various church booklets and service programs, clippings from various newspapers relating to Alberta history, biographies and historic travel destinations. it also includes a souvenir copy of the first <i>Edmonton Bulletin</i>, a copy of the last <i>Calgary Albertan</i>, an 1898 <i>Yukon Midnight Sun</i>. and an <i>Edmonton Journal</i> employee's manual ca. 1960.

Edmonton and District Cricket League fonds

The fonds consists of materials created by the Edmonton and District Cricket League and its predecessor, the Edmonton Cricket League between 1945 and 1999. The fonds consists of correspondence, minutes of meetings, personnel records, financial reports, and publicity material relating to cricket in Edmonton, Alberta, and Canada. Although the fonds contains primarily records of the E.D.C.L., many club, team, Alberta Cricket Association, and Canadian Cricket Association records are interspersed throughout. These records have been kept chronologically within the fonds to supplement information about the E.D.C.L.'s activities and to provide a context for its actions. There are a number of gaps in the records for the periods 1960-1975, and 1984-1990. Subsequent accruals have added administrative and financial records between 1992 and 1999. This fonds consists of correspondence; agreements; brochures; administrative materials, photographs, official reports; newspaper clippings; newsletters, financial records and other materials relating to the daily operation of the Parks and Recreation Department. Processed materials have been divided into five series. Wherever possible this division was done with respect to the original order of the fonds. The five series are Administrative records (1945-1972); Facilities and Programs records (1924-1969); Community League records (1946-1967); Cemetery records (1918-1966); and Universiade '83 records (1977-1984).

The fonds consists of correspondence, financial records, membership lists, minute books, and assorted booklets relating to the Edmonton Street Railway Athletic Association and the City of Edmonton. A small amount of material relating to the Edmonton Transit Athletic Association is also included.

This fonds consists of correspondence, blueprints, design proposals, reports, and a wide variety of records generated by the City of Edmonton and the XI Commonwealth Games Canada (1978) Foundation. The Foundation records, which make up over fifty percent of the fonds, have been organized according to an existing file index and numbering system. The fonds has been divided into the following four Series or Classes. Wherever possible this division was done with respect to the original order of the fonds. The four classes are: City of Edmonton records 1967-1981; XI Commonwealth Games Canada (1978) Foundation records 1970-1978; Festival '78 records 1976-1979; Publications and Manuals.

Edmonton Horticultural Society fonds

This fonds is divided into six classes of documents and artifacts:;Class 1 contains administrative records including incorporation documents, insurance, leases and rental agreements, documents related to board activities, minutes of the Board of Directors, annual reports and membership information. Records span the dates 1938-2001. Class 2 contains financial records including audits, financial statements and general ledgers, fundraising records, grants and budgets. Records span the dates 1973-2001. Class 3: contains records relating to programs such as the annual bench shows, the annual garden competition, the vacant lot gardening program, the monthly speakers' program and others. Of note are the vacant lot rental records. Records span the dates 1941-2009. Class 4: contains publications of the society, including histories, newsletters and annual prize lists. Records span the dates 1921-2010. Of note is the almost continuous collection of annual bench show prize lists from 1921 to the present. Class 5: contains various miscellaneous and oversize documents and artifacts, including guest books, ribbons, and posters. Some of the records are undated but roughly span the dates between c.1945 and 1997. Class 6: contains material related to horticultural organizations, primarily in Alberta, that are linked to the Edmonton Horticultural Society through partnerships, affiliate ties or through common interests. These include the: Alberta Horticultural Association, the Edmonton Exhibition Association and various horticultural and gardening organizations around the city. The records span the dates 1943-2001.
