The papers in this fonds are concerned with the business of real estate, investments, and commercial and private insurance in Edmonton throughout Harry Evans' career. A substantial portion of correspondence deals with land tenure, municipal taxation and assessment of property situated in northeastern and central Alberta and parts of Saskatchewan. A smaller portion of the collection is concerned with general and personal correspondence. The entire collection provides an excellent picture of business and social life in Edmonton over a period of 67 years.

There are also typewritten copies of "Recollections of Arthur Osborne Cload", "My Own Story" which includes the memories of his youth, WWI, coming to Canada in 1925 under the British Empire settlement Scheme and "Recollections of Early Auctioneers" pertaining to Edmonton.
