The fonds consists of an excerpt from the book "Adventures on the Columbia River, including the narrative of a residence of six years on the western side of the Rocky Mountains, among various tribes of Indians hitherto unknown: together with A Journey across the American continent" by Ross Cox, 1832; an article by Nick Tanasiuk about homesteading at Rock Island Lake, Alberta; an article from the magazine Encompass, Oct. 1998 "Portage La Biche, the forgotten portage" by Tom Maccagno; a copy of 1915 "An act to incorporate the Athabasca and Fort Vermilion Railway Company"; information on Lac La Biche's 200th Anniversary in 1998; 1913 "An act to incorporate the Athabasca Club"; newspaper articles regarding Athabasca from the Calgary News Telegram, Calgary Albertan, and Edmonton Journal. Names mentioned include Bishop William Day Reeve, Magnus Brown, Jim Cornwall, Leslie Wood, Fred H.Killick, Rev.William Grove White, Rev.Robert Little, Bishop Richard Young, Bishop Sovereign, Rev.
