The fonds contains partial documentation of the creative processes involved in developing the design theme for the 1988 Olympic Winter Games and presentation of design ideas to the Organizing Committee. It includes correspondence, notes, presentation boards, a presentation book, mechanical drawings, fabric samples, photographs, sketches and transparencies.

The collection relates to the Olympic Torch Relay, an event sponsored by Petro-Canada. The relay involved 6,820 Canadians carrying the sacred Olympic flame across Canada prior to the 1988 Olympic Winter Games. The collection consists of: press releases; speeches given at the kindling of the Olympic flame in Greece; correspondence; a report on the torch design; pamphlets; maps of the route of the Olympic torch across Canada; list of Canadian Olympians participating in the relay.

The fonds consists of a ticket to the opening ceremonies of the XVI Olympic Winter Games, Albertville, France 1992; and 8 posters promoting the Ski Jeep Eagle international competitions of 1995 in freestyle skiing, ski jumping, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing and snowboarding.

The fonds includes a press release, information pamphlets, a newsletter, a submission to the International Olympic committee (IOC), a production schedule, a daily tape production record, handbooks for broadcasters, and the final report on the International Broadcast Centre.

The fonds consists of unused tickets to the Ladies Figure Skating event (Eiskunstlaut, Kur, Damen) and closing ceremonies (Schlussferer) of the 1964 Olympic Winter Games

The fonds consists of Guy Fietz's and Carol Fietz's season passes to Ski Paskapoo; membership cards in Skimeisters of Calgary and Skimeisters Parents' Club; Skeimeisters decals; receipts; letter of confirmation of registration in Junior Ski School; and minutes and directory of Skimeisters Parents' Club.

The collection consists of souvenirs of the 1988 Olympic Winter Games: tickets, circular letter; schedule; brochures; decal; pamphlet, Spectators Guide to the XV Olympic Winter Games

The fonds was donated by Alf Fischer in two accessions, in 1994 and 1996. It consists of correspondence, reports, minutes, and printed materials related to competitive skiing, the Canmore Nordic Centre, the administration of the Nordic and Alpine skiing events at the 1988 Olympic Winter Games, other national and international skiing competitions, provincial and national amateur sport organizations, the Calgary Olympic Development Association, and the Calgary Winter Festival.

The fonds consists of: the Congress Guide, an English-language handbook of information for participants; and a sound recording of a music/fireworks production presented at the Congress, entitled, Elide: spectacle pyrosymphonique du Congres du Centenaire du Comite International Olympique / musique composee par Serge Folie.

The collection consists of: an autograph book signed by athletes and dignitaries driven by Lyman Hopkins; handbooks and manuals issued to volunteer drivers, entitled Team '88, Team '88 Drivers' Guide, First Aid-CPR Training Manual, Defensive Drivers' Manual; event schedule; unused ticket to the Closing Ceremonies; 4 stickers of the Czechoslovak and Bulgarian teams; handbook issued by the Czechoslovak Olympic Team; set of 14 prints of venue sites.
