Douglas Coupland fonds

This fonds comprises records created by Coupland from approximately 1970 to 2008. They are related to all aspects of Coupland's life and career. Among other types of records, the fonds includes, drafts of Coupland's major literary works, personal and artistic photographs, visual art material (such as collages, paintings and printouts of digital collages), technical notes and designs for Coupland's website, conceptual sketches and designs, annotated books used during Coupland's speaking events, personal and administrative correspondence, personal notes/memos, sent or received from Coupland's family friends, notebooks, fan correspondence, press clippings featuring work by and about Coupland, ephemera collected by Coupland, audio/visual material.

The fonds is arranged into the following series: digital projects, dramatic projects, fan mail and related material, journalism, lectures, interviews and readings, literary projects, personal and administrative affairs, press clippings, research and notes, and visual art projects.

W. Randle Iredale fonds

The fonds consists of records reflective of W. Randle Iredale’s career as a professional architect, spanning approximately 1955 to 2000, predominant between 1960-1970. Specific projects that are reflected in the records include: the Portage Mountain Development Project, Hydro Tourist Lookout, Downtown Stadium Centennial, Westcoast Transmission Building, UBC Sedgewick Undergraduate Library, Vancouver Downtown Stadium, Vancouver’s Park Site 19 Project and St. Francis Construction Project.

A large portion of the material is reflective of the Portage Mountain Development Project, a large hydro-electric project at Portage Mountain in north-east British Columbia. The following projects, which were all part of the Portage Mountain Development Project, are reflected in the fonds: the Portage Mountain Lookout Building, Portage Mountain Control Building, Portage Mountain Power House, Hudson’s Hope Housing and George W. Pearkes Elementary School.
Records are arranged generally according to project, keeping the original filing system of the creator.

The majority of the fonds consists of photographs, negatives, slides and architectural drawings pertaining to project sites, spanning primarily from the 1960s to the 1990s. Textual records in the fonds primarily consist of correspondence, publicity material and publications pertaining to the projects completed by Rhone & Iredale Architect and the Iredale Partnership.

The fonds is arranged into the following series: Portage Mountain Lookout Building; Hydro Tourist Lookout; Downtown Stadium Centennial; Westcoast Transmission Building; UBC Sedgewick Undergraduate Library; Vancouver Downtown stadium; Vancouver’s Park Site 19 Project; Hudson’s Hope Housing and School; and architectural drawings.

Harry M. Daggett fonds

Fonds consists of records relating to Dr. Harry Mark Draggatt's philatelic interests and contains biographical information about Dr. Daggett including his birth certificate, grade school and high school report cards, University Diplomas, and a number of photographs. The fonds is made up of three series as determined by the creator. The series are Literature Study Group, BA Clips, and Personal.

Yukon Mining collection

The collection consists of ledgers, account books, and sales receipts of merchants in Dawson City, Yukon, during the Klondike gold rush and correspondence, purchasing records and production records for several placer mining companies in and around Dawson City in the 1940s and 1950s. The records of Klondike-era merchants include those of Marcus Rosenthal and Company, Barrett and Hull (1901-1904), William Barrett, Klondike Thawing Machinery Company (1911-1926), Landhal's Emporium (1906), and Rook Brothers (1905-1906). Records of placer mining companies include those of Clear Creek Placers Ltd. (1941-1956), Yukon Gold Placers Ltd. and subsidiary companies (1941-1956), Canadian Placers Ltd. (1940-1941), and Spruce Creek Placers Ltd. (1941-1956).

Yorkshire Trust Company fonds

The fonds consists of business records of the Yorkshire Guarantee & Securities, Limited, The Yorkshire and Canadian Trust, Limited and The Yorkshire & Pacific Securities, Limited, Huddersfield, England concerning its B.C. operations. The records consist of those created at Head Office, Huddersfield, in its dealings with its Vancouver and Victoria offices. There are also books of account which appear to have been created in its Vancouver office. The records consist of legal documents (1889-1950) minutes (1906-1950) correspondence (1890-1964) and financial records (1889-1970), including registers, journals and ledgers (1889-1954). There are also records of the Canadian Mining Syndicate and the Vancouver Land & Securities Corporation. The fonds also includes photographs of the exterior of the Thos. Dunn and Company store, depicting goods ready for shipment from Vancouver to the Klondike and interiors and exteriors of the Yorkshire Building in the 1950s.

World War I British press photograph collection

The collection consists of photography of every aspect of World War I - from cadet training to soldiers' graves. Every theatre of war is represented, but the majority of prints were taken in Europe, particularly on the battlefields of France and Belgium. In Britain, there are prints of Gibson Girls welding ships or carting coal. There are prints of royalty and military commanders, including Greek, Belgian and Japanese aristocracy. The technology of war is illustrated in the numerous prints of planes, ships, tanks and guns of all kinds. The collection is strong in portraying the average "Tommy" and his role in the war.

Wood and English Ltd. fonds

Fonds consists of one financial ledger book which details an appraisal conducted of Wood and Englishs physical assets in 1940. The appraisal was conducted by the General Appraisal Company and lists the value of assets in Wood and Englishs various operations. These operations include: saw mill, power house, planning mill, sorting transfer shed and hog house.
