Materials related to public relations within Canada and Internationally (New York and London, England), from the early 1950s to late 1980s. Due to the large nature of this collection most duplicates were removed. A sampling of clippings were retained within the correspondence, the majority which were retained are referred to within the correspondence itself. The collection is grouped chronologically by year, however not by month or date. The bulk of the material is Series I, Correspondence; which contains typed and handwritten letters, clippings, press releases, speeches, and rough drafts of publications as they are often accompanied by or referred to within letters. Series II, Meetings and Minutes contains conferences, seminars, speeches and meetings which were removed from correspondence. Series III, Reference Materials, is anything the company produced about themselves or for others. A sampling was retained to avoid repetition. This collection touches on the history of public relations throughout Canada. Inside Canada’s companies have unique histories that contribute to a national documentary record. Some of the topics which affected the group, as well as Canada; include Bill 22 and language issues in Quebec, Hydro-Quebec, 1977, International markets (Japanese) in Vancouver 1970s, National Elevator dispute, oil in Alberta, Royal and Papal visits among others.
