Lorraine Fraser fonds

The fonds consists of original photographs, taken by Lorraine Fraser on April 29, 1999, of the Shipyards in Whitehorse before the residents were moved out and the buildings torn down. The most recent tenant in each home was identified by Jim Robb, Don Miller and Ed Jenni, and Yukon Archives staff.

Cooper family fonds

The fonds consists of 13 rolls of 8 mm film and include a variety of scenes and activities in the Yukon including the Haines Junction Experimental Farm at the Parks headquarters, sternwheelers being launched and underway, travel on the Alaska Highway, and people skating, playing hockey and baseball, boating, downhill skiing near Mayo, and ice fishing in Carcross. The films also depict the Coopers' travels in Hawaii, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Niagara Falls, Ontario. Identified individuals include Bill Carr, Paul Cyr, Bill Drury, Lawrence Cyr, Edna Cooper, Bob Westin, and George Cooper. Some of the film was taken by George Cooper in the Yukon in the 1940s. Other reels were taken during Edna Cooper's vacations to Hawaii and Maine, USA (2002/47). The original colour slides include many views of Carcross and the Cooper's cabin, Whitehorse and area, fishing and hunting, boating and picnics, sternwheelers, the mining community of Elsa, an Alaska road trip, and George's Uncle Bob in Vancouver (2006/138).

Chilkoot Sourdough Bakery fonds

The fonds consists of 2 albums with original colour photographs taken during the summer of 1998 and includes construction of the bakery and bear fence, volunteers in historic dress cooking and serving food to the hikers, Bennett Church and the White Pass and Yukon Route (WP&YR) train station. The photographs were possibly taken by Ione Christensen. Also included are 2 historic photographs of Bennett, B.C. and a historic activity base map, depicting the locations of buildings in Bennett, 1899-1900, used to establish the contemporary site of the bakery. The textual records include the proposal, correspondence with Parks Canada, budget, equipment, donors, staff, and related documents.

R.A. Dickson collection

The collection consists of a list of Canadian Tlingit and Haida members who are entitled to benefits in Alaska. According to R.A. Dickson, Tlingit descendants living in Canada were entitled to $1 million from the $7.5 million judgment fund U.S. Court of Claims awarded the Tlingit and Haida people in Alaska in 1968. This settlement was in payment for lands withdrawn to create the Tongass National Forest and Glacier Bay National Monument. With the help of Johnnie Johns, Dickson collected 1,700 names. The list was typed by Dayle MacDonald, who was secretary of the organization at the time. Others involved in the project included Eric Oles, Bonar and Bessie Cooley, and Reg Kelly who was hired to conduct research in British Columbia.

Yukon Guild of Needlearts fonds

This fonds consists of the records of the Yukon Guild of Needlearts (YGN), dating from 1982 to 2003, including certificate of incorporation, constitution, minutes, membership files, project files, financial records and patterns. It includes a cross-stitch kit developed by Guild members in 1997-1998 entitled "Memories of Klondike Gold" which commemorates the anniversary of the Klondike Gold Rush. One hundred kits were prepared for sale at $29.95 per kit. The background material used to develop the kit is also included.

The OptiMSt Collective fonds

The fonds consists of textual records and photographs, from 1978 to 2004, which relate to the business and operation of the OptiMSt newspaper, which was published in Whitehorse, Yukon from 1974 to 2002. The fifteen files include minutes of meetings, correspondence, reader surveys, special editions, advertising information, and financial statements. The photographs depict the volunteers who put the paper together in meetings and discussions, proofing articles, working the printing press, and as part of advertising shots. Some of the women are identified.

The collection consists of 29 digital scans of postcards and photographs which depict a variety of subjects: the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition in Seattle, 1909; scow building at Bennett, 1899; Caribou Crossing (Carcross), Yukon; sternwheelers; and the Alaska Highway.

Clayton Betts collection

The collection consists of photographs collected by Clayton Betts, a photocopy of an article written by Betts, and a photocopy of another article. Betts' article was written for the Vancouver Yukoners' Association Bulletin of December, 1979 and is about Solomon Albert, a trapper and prospector in the White River area. The photographs were taken in the Dawson City area 1898-1920 and show Harry Calder, Solomon Albert, Roald Amundsen, George and Martha Black, A.J. Goddard, Yukon Field Force, the first plane in the Yukon, 1st Alaska Air Expedition of the U.S. Army Air Force, Dawson Rifle Company and Sargeant Dempster's search party for the Lost Patrol. The other article is "Short History of Yukon Field Force and Dawson Rifle Company" by Lieutenant Colonel H.D. Hulme. It was published in the "Alaska Weekly" of August 14, 1936.

Capt. Dick's World Famous Sourtoe Cocktail fonds

The fonds consists of textual records relating to Captain Dick's guided tours on the Yukon River and Sourtoe Cocktail business. Included are two original membership books, a photocopy of his portfolio/scrapbook and two business cards. The membership books (1984-1992)contain comments and signatures of those people that have successfully drunk the cocktail. The scrapbook (1973-2004) contains letters of reference, correspondence, newspaper articles and photographs of the Yukon Lou, Moosehide, and people drinking the cocktail. Also included in the fonds is an original Arctic Brotherhood membership certificate (191-) and a photograph of a flag painted by Edith Jerome. The flag is based on the Arctic Brotherhood banner at Diamond Tooth Gertie's, which used to be the Arctic Brotherhood Hall.
