The collection assembled by William Morse reflected his research interests and his ideas on what works should be available for consultation by serious scholars. The exploration and early settlement of Acadia, the history of the Maritimes, the evolution of printing, the book arts, important classics in both the humanities and the sciences, the works of Bliss Carman and George Santayana, works about General James Wolfe, and Norse legends are the major research fields represented in the collection.

This fonds consists of correspondence from Arthur Winters of the Anglican Young People’s Association to Almon, and a Theatre Arts Guild rehearsal schedule. Some local theatre programs were also donated with the fonds which have been relocated to the MS 3 Reference materials.

University of the air was a distance learning initiative started by CTV's regional television affiliates, to offer degree-related video courses, taught by University professors around the country. Production of University of the Air started in 1966, and continued until 1983. The University of the Air courses were structured into series, around a central theme, and divided into 5 episodes. This collection comprises four such series which were produced in atlantic Canada, and hosted by Dalhousie University Faculty. Series one is entitled "The Oceans", series two is "The Structure of Sound", series three is "20th Century Latin America: Why Revolution", and series four is "Textiles: Their Development and Effects".

Collection contains fourteen maps and charts and one illustration. The materials were collected over many years by Hugh Francis Pullen.

The Collection contains business, administrative, and productions records, minutes, reports, agreements, photographs, employee seniority lists, accident reports, correspondence and other miscellaneous papers from the Nova Scotia Steel and Coal Company, Trenton Works, and Hawker Siddeley.

Collection consists of letters, legal documents, and a bill of lading, dating from the 1800s and early 1900s. One of the letters was sent to Joseph Howe, and one of the legal documents concerns land that was set aside for the "Maroons."

This accession consist of outlines and class notes for French and linguistics University courses. This accession also contains correspondence, course evaluations and research notes. Some digital records from this accession have been migrated from CDs onto Dalhousie University’s Digi server.
