This fonds consists of seamen's wages account books, printed maps and notes. The seamen's wages account books are for the ship "Muskota", and provide Captain (J.E. Masters) and seamen's names, titles, wages, dates of engagement, and financial transactions. The books also provide tables for calculating seamen's wages. There are three maps which show the routes taken by ships under J.E. Masters command, including the "Berteaux".

Four loose pages from a memorandum book contain notes about the ship "Berteaux" and provide dates of departure and arrival from various ports. On the reverse side of the memorandum pages, there are notes of purchases and a list of worldwide contact addresses for Captain Masters. Most are shipping company addresses, including C.W. Berteaux, the firm that built and owned the "Muskota" and the "Berteaux".

This fonds consists of correspondence, 1886-1889, and invoices, orders, promissory notes, advertisements from businesses, 1885-1890.

This fonds consists of family correspondence, including Albert's correspondence about yachting. George's letters to his parents while he was serving overseas during the First World War, 1917-1918, and letters from other soldiers overseas to his mother, 1918 to 1919, together with wartime printed ephemera, are included.

Fonds consists of two student essays for English II, by Ewart Adair Fergusson. They were written during his freshman year, 1919-1920.

This fonds consists of 4 letters written by S. Boyd Anderson in April, June, and November of 1915 and January of 1916 to his friend Frank Doyle, while Anderson was serving at the Belgium front. Anderson commented on battles of the First World War, particularly Ypres; the use of gas as an instrument of war; shelling; casualties; the loss of officers; the taking of German prisoners; conditions in the dugouts and trenches; his admiration for his men; and family matters.

Included in the letters are several sketches of the front, including one of the 3rd Line in the Ypres Canal area. All four letters were transcribed prior to 1973, possibly by Bruce Anderson. The typed transcriptions are included.

The fonds also contains 2 typed letters, written by Frank Doyle to Bruce Anderson in 1953, which provide background and supplementary information about S. Boyd Anderson's wartime letters and military career. There are also original copies of 3 publications: The Canadian Record Officer, which contains the article, "The Canadian Glorious Stand at Ypres" (April 1915); The Splint Record (December 1915), and The Listening Post (January 1916), and a Daily Mail birds-eye map of the British front on which Anderson drew and outlined respective positions occupied by the 8th Battery at Ypres.

This fonds documents the professional activities of George T. Mitton, who practised law for a number of years in Moncton, N.B. It includes 953 files containing correspondence, notes, and legal documents relating to work undertaken on behalf of his clients. These documents pertain to criminal cases, civil suits, the settling of estates, property transactions, divorces, appointments of guardianship, bankruptcies and the settling of debts. The files are arranged alphabetically by name of the client.

Fonds consists of Anna Cummings’ junior sewing notebook and life member certificate of the Mount Allison Federated Alumni for Anna Cummings', Ladies’ College Class of 1927, 29 July 1969.

This collection is a combination of material from both World War I and World War II. Included is Major T. Hatfield O'Brien's war diary or journal, written while he was a member of the 19th Battery, Canadian Field Artillery Brigade, in 1916; a large "Moncton at War" clippings collection, 1942-1946; articles on Vimy Ridge (MS4), written between 1924 and 1936; and newsclippings (dating to 1978-1979) on the post-World War I influenza epidemic (1918-1919). This collection also contains an Honour Roll from the Korean War (MS14B).

Fonds consists of personal papers and also includes records belonging to Ethel Peake, some given to Smith or possibly borrowed or received following her death and used in his research for biographical note "Ethel Marguerite Peake, 1885-1954" (accession 8426). Peake files contain correspondence 1908-1943; biographical brochure [between 1923 and 1936]; clippings; Mount Allison Department of Music student records, 1936-1944 (students of Peake); photographs, including several of Peake; Allison G. Patterson file, 1951 and 1981.
