This fonds consists of seven minute books of the Mermaid Women's Institute from 2 February 1950 to 3 April 2007. Included in the minutes are a few annual reports as well as some financial statements and records of roll call.

This fonds contains five minute books of the Earnscliffe Women's Institute covering the dates 1956 to 2006. Along with meeting minutes, minute books contain membership lists, annual reports, lists of officers, and roll call as well as some financial records. The fonds also contains one issue of "Institute News" from December 1988 and a number of two-page histories of the Institute, written by the members.

The fonds consists of a 210 page manuscript of the "History of Springfield", seventeen volumes of minute books, and three treasurer's books: 1950-1956, 1963-1990 and 1990-2006. The handwritten manuscript compiled by members of the Springfield Women's Institute includes original photographs, clippings, and copies of map sections of Lot 67 inserted into, or pasted unto, the pages as well as hand-drawn illustrations. The minute books contain minutes for general and annual meetings from 25 April 1913 to July 1915, July 1917 to 1945, 1950 to 4 June 1985 and 2 April 1991 to 4 January 2006. Also included are financial reports and membership, officers, and directors lists. Also, most volumes contain various inserts such as correspondence, copies of the "Institute News", and newspaper clippings.

The North Tryon Women's Institute fonds contains records relating to the administration of the organization (1959-1995), events and projects undertaken by the Institute (1954-2005), and the establishment and functions of the North Tryon Historical Association and their "Remember Yesterday" publishing project (1902-1999).

There are a number of provincial Women's Institute publications included in the fonds: 1934 and 1951 copies of "Hand Book for Use of Women's Institutes"; a blank 1979-80 "Program Handbook"; "Institute News" for Nov-Dec 1953 and March-April 1954; "Women Alone Again" published by the Federated Women's Institutes of Prince Edward Island in January 1987; and Annual Provincial Convention Programs, 1986 and 1988. The fonds also includes a two-page history by Shirley Andrews (Secretary Treasurer) which details the establishment and work of the Institute. Attached to the history is a copy of a welcome to the 1978 annual convention, and two poems written to mark the twentieth and twenty-first anniversaries of the Rennies Road Women's Institute.

The fonds consists of two series: 1) Minutes of the Institute including membership rolls, 1913-2002 and 2) Miscellaneous files including conveyances, updates to the history of Travellers Rest, etc.
