Photographs are of Grey Owl (Archibald Stansfield Belaney) (d.1938) at Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba.

Fonds is primarily a broad-ranging commercial negative collection pertaining to Banff and area, including businesses, buildings, projects, events, people and scenic views; skiing, mountain travel and recreation; Sunshine Village Ski Area; warden activities in the mountain parks; national and provincial parks; scenic views of western Canada, particularly mountain landscapes; some portraits and candid shots of local and international personalities. Photographs pertaining to film making include helicopter rescue; highway construction; Norquay, Sunshine, and Lake Louise ski areas' histories; Banff events and buildings; Canmore events and buildings; professional and amateur ski races; scenic mountain and wildlife; mountaineering and highway accidents; mountain guiding trips including Pierre Trudeau, Roland Michener and Peter Lougheed. Fonds consists of four series: Photography, Motion Pictures, Sound Recordings, and Textual records. Photography series consists of four sub-series established by the photographer: I. Original film is "Sunshine 1940" and includes Brewster Transport ski buses travelling from train station to Sunshine Lodge, skiers, guide, lessons, games, rope tow, ski action, slalom, Bruno Engler, other. 16mm and 35mm film reels, 1946-1964 are films produced by the National Film Board. Sound recordings, electronic records and and related textual material pertain to interviews with Bruno Engler, 1987, done by Brian Patton and Jon Whyte for Bruno Engler autobiography project. Interviews covered Engler's life, but are not complete to 1987. Transcripts, prepared from recordings by Brenda Goeres, are not verbatim. Audio tape cassettes consist of portions of content of audio tape reels. Textual records include corporate records, newspaper clippings and magazine articles pertaining to film making, cast and crew listings and schedules for various movies, ski racing, mountain guiding trips and ski race listings. Also included is documentation pertaining to film making with producer National Film Board including letters, film stock footage, press releases, and film summaries; maps indicate film location shots for Arctic Rampage.

Fonds consists of records pertaining to Bill Roberge's involvement in Banff municipal matters and includes 6 scrapbooks, 1961-1980 re Banff Advisory Council and Banff National Park Management. Also included are miscellaneous files, correspondence and reports re Banff Provisional Administration Board, planning matters, and responsible local government.

Fonds consists of records and photographs relating to the Montgomery, Pike and West families in and around Wetaskiwin, Alberta from 1903-1988. Consists of copies of photographs showing the changes from the Star Store to Montgomery's (1904-1956); photographs of interest to Wetaskiwin (1925-1932); West's family papers and a small photobook by LeRoy Talbot (1903-1951); information and photographs regarding Sackville West and of H.M.C.S. Wetaskiwin (1918 - ca.1970); and a program for the Wetaskiwin Turf Club Race Meet (1908).

Fonds includes maps and plans of the Wetaskiwin area, blueprints of Wetaskiwin area buildings (1911 - 2001); cemetary records (1898- 2000); files of the Superindentant of Public Works (1947- 1949); photographs (1970 -1980); and studies and by-laws (1960-1970).

Fonds consist of records generated in the administration of the Corporation of the City of Wetaskiwin including financial records; public relation and event files; City Council documents including Council minutes, by-laws, Board minutes, correspondence, and journals; City division records related to the hospital, cemetery, land transactions and mapping, engineering and public works files, and a variety of legal/financial records involving various agreements, contracts, certificates, proposals, and insurance files. A significant series of files are those maintained by City Clerk C.J. Brown, retained in their original alphabetic and chronological order, and containing a wealth of information related to the administration of the City, 1949-1960. Other records include photographs of various civic events, and the formal City Council portraits taken annually. Fonds include records now considered part of the Community Services and Operational Services Departments. The Corporate Service Fonds are of value to researchers interested in the history of Wetaskiwin, and serve to place this history in the wider social milieu of setting and place. Information from the earliest years include the travails the City faced in trying to fund the building of a water tower; the completion of the sewer and water program; the development of the provincial phone system; and the establishment of its own light and power plant. The effects of recessions, wars, and an ever-changing relationship with the provincial government are also reflected in these records, and their research value is significant.

Wetaskiwin Hospital District (1973- 1992) Series consists of committee reports, budgets, and other materials related to the Wetaskiwin Hospital District. 3. Ephemera and Agreements (ca.1905- 1933) Series consists of the contents of the Cornerstone of the Wetaskiwin Community Hospital, 1932; Agreements between Wetaskiwin Community Hospital and various Municipal Districts, 1933; and photographs of Dr. Stevenson, ca 1905.
