The fonds includes both oral history interviews and written submissions from community members who immigrated in the 2nd or 3rd wave of immigration to the Central Alberta area. The project involved approximately 75 to 100 participants coming from other parts of Canada and 25 different countries. The fonds also includes promotional material, administrative material, information sheets and general notes.

The fonds consists of the research notes of a French Immersion class project compiled by teachers Robert Porkka and Elaine Ward. The project researched the lives and military experiences of fourteen Red Deer students who were killed in the First World War. Included are photographs of a visit by students to war graves in France and Belgium.
