The fonds consists of 297 b&w reference prints taken by the commercial photographers Clarke Kinsey and Clarence Kinsey in the Yukon during the years immediately following the Klondike Gold Rush. Mining and sluicing scenes at or around Bonanza, Dominion, Eldorado, Hunker and Sulphur creeks and at Cheechako Hill and Poverty Bar constitute a large part of the fonds. There are also shots of business establishments in the Dawson City area, winter scenes, North West Mounted Police (NWMP) officers, dog teams, people gathered outside churches, men on horse back, and views of Dawson City and the Yukon River.
