Professional series contains volumes of textual records, photograph albums and photographs in two sub-series: A. Warden and civil service papers and photographs, and B. Guiding and outfitting papers and photographs. Professional / personal life series contains volumes of textual records, as well as photographs, in two sub-series: A. Scrapbooks, and B. Other material. Textual records consist of warden journals, 1934-1949, and scrapbooks, 1911-1961. Journals record weather conditions, wildlife observations, enforcement, construction and maintenance duties, etc. around Castle Mountain and Lake Louise. Scrapbooks contain correspondence and memoranda, 1929-1948, from LaCasse's civil service career. Textual records also include diary of Mavis Benedict, 1917, kept during Caroline Hinman pack trips; copy of a ski trip diary; and biographical notes on LaCasse, ca.1950. Photograph albums pertain to a Caroline Hinman trip in the Mount Assiniboine area, 1917; Columbia Icefield expedition, 1924; and horse trips in the Canadian Rockies, ca.1925.

Reports pertain to archaeological sites and research, national parks history, warden service, coal mining in the Bankhead area, predator studies, Cave and Basin, Radium Hot Springs, Ya Ha Tinda Ranch and other sites.

Photographs pertain mainly to warden activities in Rocky Mountains Park, including Kananaskis area; also to Howard Sibbald and associates, park operations and services, wildlife, landscape and buildings in Rocky Mountains, Kootenay and Waterton National Parks and other parks and regions. Narrative, written 1923, describes the journey of Andrew Sibbald (author's father) and family from Stroud, Ontario to Morley, Alberta in 1875; also Howard Sibbald's life in the west during the 1870s to 1923

Photographs are of Grey Owl (Archibald Stansfield Belaney) (d.1938) at Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba.

Textual records are mainly employment papers of Charles McAulay as General Construction Foreman for Rocky Mountains Park and Banff National Park, 1912- 1939; includes correspondence, memoranda, journals, notes, timebooks and other materials pertaining to public works projects, in particular road building and maintenance. Also includes McAulay's personal journal, 1942-1963, which includes periodic observations on activities of McAulay and family, Banff events and deaths of Banff residents. Photographs pertain to Charles McAulay, family, friends and associates; work activities, including bridge and road construction, pipe-laying, equipment, construction projects in Banff National Park; personal activities, including curling; Banff places and activities; ca.1907-ca.1955.
