The fonds consists of minutes for the separate school districts in Grande Prairie, Spirit River, Fairview, Sexsmith and Beaverlodge; daily registers for Grande Prairie Schools, Spirit River, Sexsmith, and Beaverlodge; operational files for Grande Prairie, Spirit River, Sexsmith and Beaverlodge; photographs for Grande Prairie, Spirit River and Fairview; and scrapbooks which contain news clippings about the entire area.

The fonds consists of two copies of a biographical account of Nicholas (Nylolai) Woronuk and family, written in Ukrainian by a niece, Mrs. John Bzovey of Rycroft. The document was typed and and edited by I. Goresky, of Edmonton, and tells of the family's epic journey from Edson to Grande Prairie in 1913. Included in the fonds are a shorter account of the story, in English, as published in "Ukrainians in Alberta"; additional hand written accounts from the Woronuk family in English and Ukrainian; and a letter from I. Goresky to Dr. Jerry Petryshyn referencing the history of Ukrainians in Alberta, and especially the Woronuk family.

The fonds consists of records of the Spirit River Settlement Historical Society including executive records and records of their History Book Committee which consist of planning documents, financial records, minutes and correspondence, and original and/or edited copies of submissions to the Spirit River history book Chepi Sepe. The first sections of the Book Committee records include a history of the general region and the Spirit River Settlement area, the coming of settlers and the growth of agriculture, businesses, industries, municipal governments, the history of veterans of WWI and WWII, schools, churches, medical facilities, and cultural and recreational groups. The second main body of the records contains original and/or edited copies of over 630 family histories arranged in alphabetical order by surname.

The fonds consists of a 1977-1979 schedules, final Wheat Belt League Standings, lists of players from the teams: Sexsmith Rainiers, Peace River "Stampeders", Beaverlodge "Royals", Wanham "Wildcats", Fairview "Outlaws", Grande Prairie "Eskimos", Fairview "Outlaws" and player records.

By 1983 the League final statitics show the teams as Hythe "Mustangs, Rycroft "Flames", Sexsmith "Generals", Grande Prairie "Blazers", Sexsmith "Huskies", and Spirit River "Rangers".

The fonds consists of a history of music festivals in the Grande Prairie district, financial statements, Festival programs, Festival Grand Concert programs and a copy of the Alberta Music Festival Association annual report for 1985.

The fonds consists of textual records and photographs related to the operations of the steam plant which generated energy to run the steam engines for the North Canadian Forest Industries, Plywoods Division Plant on 118th Avenue and 99th Street in Grande Prairie. It includes correspondence from 1959-1960 between Ted Roubicek (from Canfor head office in New Westminster, BC) and King Crick, manager of the Grande Prairie Plant; a manual and two blueprints for the Erie Ball Engine which was installed in 1959-1960; inspection certificates from 1973-1985 for various boilers which ran the steam engines at the mill; Engineer's Regulations and Examination, 1972-1975; a training manual for a new hot oil system for creating steam installed ca. 1985; and copies of news clippings related to the history of the Canfor Plywood Plant. The photographs are in the 1985 training manual and show Joe Pirker pointing out the intricacies of the new plant.

The fonds consists of a 26 page biography of Maurice Pivert written by his niece, Paulette Pivert Hrychiw, and copies of 20 photographs taken by Maurice Pivert between 1947 and 1952. The photographs include four of a Model T race at the fairgrounds in 1947, four of building the Memorial Arena in 1949, six of a County Agricultural fair and parade ca. 1950, two of the municipal hospital ca. 1950, and four of new public buildings in Grande Prairie ca. 1952. These photographs are a few of the many Maurice Pivert took as he documented life around him at his farm in Grande Prairie. The copies were made available by Paulette Hrychiw.
