This fonds consists of a microfilm copy of one handwritten volume comprised of two essays and three letters regarding the issue of baptism written by Alexander Crawford. Crawford wrote "Believer immersion as opposed to unbeliever sprinkling" in 1826 in response to a pamphlet issued by Doctor Ross of Truro, Nova Scotia. Rejecting the concept of infant baptism Crawford argued instead for the immersion of the adult believer as the acceptable form of baptism.

This fonds consists of a minute book of the Stanhope Covehead Community Hall. The minute book dates from 28 January 1937 to 15 April 1987 and contains minutes of annual meetings. The minutes include meeting topics, financial reports, planning of activities, notes regarding hall maintenance, and names of officers and other members.

Governor John Ready correspondence fonds : [1828-1843]

This fonds contains 103 letters written from 1828 to 1843 by John Ready. One hundred of the letters are to Charles Lennox, the 5th Duke of Richmond, two are to the Duke's physician, and one is to the Duke's wife. Many of the letters seek the Duke's intervention or assistance in matters regarding Ready's career or that of his son, Charles. Other subjects include: administrative issues, the erection of a monument in Quebec to the 4th Duke of Richmond, and news of mutual acquaintances. Only the first six letters were written while Ready was resident on Prince Edward Island (although there is an occasional reference to Prince Edward Island in the later letters). The letters were written in various places: one in Halifax, fifteen in England, three in Scotland, one in Ireland, and the remainder on the Isle of Man.

This fonds consists of four scrapbooks of newspaper articles written from 1979 to 1986 by "Ole Salt" Lorne Johnston, a notebook containing notes and story drafts, 33 files of notes and 2 files of articles on various subjects including: ferries, iceboat racing, Lower Montague, and schooner captains. There is also: a typescript copy of "Notes from My Diary" (essentially a weather diary) for the years 1919 to 1956, newspaper articles, a letter from Johnnie Williams, and a letter from Gary MacDougall.

This fonds consists of 26 letters written in 1969, 1972, and 1973 regarding the establishment of St. John's Ambulance on Prince Edward Island. Much of the correspondence is between Dr. E.L. Edmonds and Don Ross and other officials in the organization, at both national and international levels. In addition to the correspondence is a compilation of transparencies used by Provincial Commissioner Edward Edmonds in the inaugural lecture to the first instructors' course, St. John Ambulance, 1973.

Orwell Corner Inc. Board of Directors fonds

This fonds consists of an 82 page minute book containing minutes for regular, special, and annual meetings held by the Orwell Corner Inc. Board of Directors between 18 September 1978 and 7 November 1983. Most minutes contain the names of all present at each meeting including the directors, representatives from the P.E.I. Heritage Foundation (Catherine Hennessey and others), and those giving reports or presentations (including Pat Binns, Betty Howatt, Angus MacLean). Various topics relating to the management of the village are included such as hiring of staff, farm stock husbandry, reports of visitors, and reports of special events. A financial report, 31 March 1981 - 30 September 1981, is at the back of the book.

This collection consists of two photocopies of the album pages and 42 copy prints from a photograph album belonging to Mrs. Lulu (Hooper) Deacon which was passed down through her family. The images are of portraits of members of the Strong, Hooper, Thomas, Moyse, Wright, Clark, and other families. The portrait subjects are identified as are most of the photographers. Some handwritten comments as to relationships and so on are included in the album. The majority of the original photographs were cartes-de-visit with a few tintypes most likely dating from the 1860s and 1870s. Eight photographs were missing from the album at the time of copying. The collection also includes a photocopy of the album pages.
