The fonds consists of photographs and textual records regarding the history of Tsimshian bands on the North Coast. The photographs and text panels were used for a display. There are also photographs from an album of a parade in Prince Rupert in 1961, children outside of homes, totem poles, and a building in Kitwanga. The photographs came from an album that was in the possession of Harold Ryan and were accessed after he passed away.

The collection consists of records that did not fit the mandate of the Greater Vernon Museum and Archives and includes photographs of the Lieutenant Governor of the North-West Territories, Edgar Dewdney, homesteads and farmhouses, aboriginal families and women trainees at the Air Observer School; a Drumheller District Tourist Guide; an issue of "The Roteller," the official bulletin of the Drumheller Rotary Club and mechanically produced photographic reproductions of various mountain scenes including Banff Springs Hotel.

The collection consists of a database of 65,434 records of persons who were Metis ancestors. For each individual, dates and places of birth, baptism, marriage, death, and burial, and notes on sources are given if known. Using Ancestral Quest software, the data can be linked to show genealogical relationships in the form of pedigree charts and descendancy charts.

The collection consists of government records relevant to genealogical studies of members of the Rocky Boy band, including 1917 compilations of biographical information; correspondence received by the USA and Canadian Indian Affairs agencies concerning the band; and censuses of the band members compiled ca. 1915 and ca. 1917.
