a. A photocopy of "The Story of 'B.P.'" by William Hill Court. Story of Lord Baden-Powell (1857-1941), founder of Boy Scouts.

The fonds contains the minute book of Queens Own Lodge No. 96 Order of Good Templars from 1866 to 1881 and the minute book of Queens Own Lodge No. 184 from 1886 to 1889. Minutes record installation and expulsion of members, and sometimes note the talks and social activities following the meeting.

There is a financial secretary's ledger (1930-1933) which records the payment of dues by individual members. There are some loose financial records, an undated charter of the lodge, and the script of a short temperance play or skit. There are also 2 rule books, the "Blue book for the use of subordinate divisions of the order of the Sons of Temperance", 1857 and "Ritual for the subordinate lodges of the Independent Order of Good Templars", 1894.

This fonds contains materials relating to the activities of the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Fredericton (New Brunswick) over its first five years and to the public responses received to its musical performances.

There are 10 scrapbooks, each containing textual material, newspaper clippings, and photographs chronicling the staging of a production, including scripts, rehearsals, programmes, tickets, advertising, and reviews. Musical productions represented include Palace of Varieties (1979), Iolanthe (1979), Victorian Cabaret (1978), The Mikado (1980), Pirates of Penzance (1976), An Evening with Gilbert and Sullivan (1976-1979), Patience (1977), Fools and Lovers (1977), and Gondoliers (1978).

Fonds consists of administrative records of the Labrador Heritage society including memorandum of Association, correspondence, financial records, letterhead, rules and regulations, and minutes. Fonds also includes written histories of the society, newspaper articles, booklets, brochures, and other published material.

Fonds consists of the administrative and operational records of the association from 1965 to 1988/89, and some general files relating to issues of interest to the last president, Wayne Davis, up to 1995. The administrative records include the articles of association and incorporation, minutes of meetings, assessment of membership, and membership lists. The correspondence and general files contain the records of the general affairs and interests of the association, reports, and draft briefs. There are some financial records in the form of invoices and cheques. The financial statements for the association were included in the records of the annual general meetings. Some of the material includes explanatory notations made by Wayne Davis when he was reviewing the files prior to donating them to the Maritime History Archive.

The fonds also contains copies of minutes of related associations: the Newfoundland and Labrador Marine Advisory Committee and the Newfoundland Sealers' Association.

Fonds consist of records relating to the functional bodies of the Charge which include various boards, committees, organizations and groups. Included are minutes, reports, correspondence, membership and subscription records, publications, accounts and annual reports.

The records are arranged in the following series: Board and Committee records, 1908-1975; Sunday School records, 1920-1975; Subscription lists, membership lists, and accounts, 1904-1920; Annual Reports, 1925-1967; and Church history and other published material, 1938-1975.

The fonds consists of a logbook of the company with an introduction by the Chaplain, Rev. R.S. Sheppard and a record book, 1953-1968. The logbook begins March 26, 1943 and contains a detailed account of the activities of the company. On p.2 there are 8 photographs of a camp held in 1944. The final meeting recorded in the logbook was held in February, 1966. The record book contains the names of the Guides enrolled and an account of their badges etc. Instructions and advice for guides, written by Commissioner Mrs. Sullivan, is included at the back of the book.

Fonds consists of records created in the pastoral charges of Blackhead-Western Bay, Blackhead, and Western Bay. Records relate to the functional bodies of the Charge which include various boards, committees, organizations and groups. Included are vital statistics, minutes, correspondence, membership lists, accounts and published material.

Fonds consists of records created by the scouts administration in Newfoundland, its formation and ongoing business. Records also relate to the functions and activities of the various committees, organizations and group sections.

The records are arranged in the following series: Administrative Files (1912-1996) including Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws, reports, briefs, minutes, census records, news releases and clippings, property and deed documents, and correspondence;
Financial Records (Provincial) (1929-1997) including financial statements, correspondence, budget documents, income tax records, revenue development documents, cash books and ledgers; Correspondence (general) (1921-1973);
Insurance Records (1951-1979) containing insurance files created and/or compiled at the provincial level. Note: all insurance other than provincial property is administered at the National level;
Training records (1952-1974) includes material related to leader training and includes correspondence, logs, reports, course outlines, memos, application forms, certificates, finances, programme instructions, agenda and attendance records;
Organized Camping Events (1928-1974) includes agendas and promotional material, registration lists, medical records, and expenses. Included also are correspondence and information on various fundraising events;
Publications (1946-1971) including newsletters and other publications created by the scouts organization in Newfoundland. Includes, memos and draft copies;
Sound Recordings (1960s - 1990s) includes interviews on various scouting related activities including scouting history in Newfoundland, training, fundraising, churches and scouting, and fundraising;
Moving Images (1952-1960) contains film and video tape of various scouting events in the province, Canada and throughout the world. Included are Jamborees, Scouts promotional productions, training, campsite events, provincial camps, backpacking adventures;
World Scouting (1993-1997) includes brochures, reports, mailings, correspondence, and notices.
