This series consists of sundry material created, collected or maintained by the City of Guelph Board of Education documenting the history of schools in Guelph. Included is a letter from John Galt on education in the City of Guelph; assorted correspondence; a diary of John Sinclair; a lease for the Board's use of Day's Hotel; booklets and essays on the history of the Board and select schools; and historical data files that contain clippings, pamphlets, and other material relating to the history of the Board and its schools in Guelph.

This series consists of Public Schools journals and ledgers, financial statements, expense books, cash books, teachers' salary records, and audit reports created by the City of Guelph Board of Education in its capacity as the administrator of the public school system in Guelph.

This series consists of Board minutes; Board rules and regulations; Annual Reports of the Directors of Education for the City of Guelph; Board of Education Annual Reports; Inspectors' and Superintendents' reports; and select Board committee reports.
