Anthony Usher Planning Consultant fonds

Fonds contains maps, reports, correspondence and primary research materials pertaining to environmental projects undertaken by Anthony Usher Planning Consultant. Fonds also contains some records pertaining to projects with which Anthony Usher was involved prior to the formation of his own practice in 1984.

Records document land use planning studies, guidelines and proposals for parks, watersheds, residential developments, fisheries, marinas, beaches and lake systems. Files also document activities such as development feasibility analyses, environmental assessments, provision of expert testimony, natural heritage planning and program evaluation, and the participation of communities in regional and local planning.

Specific projects include Wingham District Land Use Strategy, Moosonee-Attawapiska Winter Road Evaluation, Thunder Bay District Social and Economic Profile, Lake Temagami Planning Study, Lake of the Woods Fishery, St. Mary's Rapids Dewatering Review, Lac Seul Alternative Management Strategies and Lac Seul Reserve Access Road, Red Lake System Study, Kawartha Park, French River Management Services and Maple Leaf Estates.

Board of Examiners in Sex Therapy and Counselling in Ontario (BESTCO) fonds

Fonds consists of records created and used by the Board of Examiners in Sex Therapy and Counselling in Ontario (BESTCO).

The records date from prior to the board's official creation in the early nineteen-seventies until 2007 and consist of a variety of records created or received by the executive of BESTCO.

As an organization whose primary focus is accreditation, BESTCO's records mainly document the membership process. After initial applications, prospective members undergo a supervisory period, followed by a case study presentation to the board. In the early years, the membership process also included a written test. Records in this fonds reflect this process, including initial expressions of interest, application forms, case studies and written exams. Procedural documents outlining the membership process are also included.

Records not related to the membership process may include: correspondence with other organizations and associations, bibliographies and other reports to support the work of BESTCO members, club histories, newspaper articles regarding sex and relationship therapy, and meeting minutes from BESTCO meetings.

Photographs are group portraits of BESTCO members.

The fonds is divided into three series: correspondence, meeting minutes and resources and documentation regarding sex therapy.
