Ce fonds est constitué de photographies dont la majorité ne sont pas identifiées. Des hommes, des femmes et des enfants y sont représentés individuellement, en famille ou en groupe. Bien que les donateurs aient mentionné que ces photographies concernent les familles Mercure, Milot et Massicotte, on relève peu de photographies représentant des membres de ces familles : seuls Rosa, Marie-Anne, Caroline et Alfred Mercure, Zéphire et Zéphicilda Massicotte y figurent. Sur les autres photos, on retrouve l'inscription des noms de famille suivants : Ayotte, Baril, Beauchesne, Beaulieu, Bédard, Boucher, Danseau, Dextradeur, Dionne, Doucet, Duchesneau, Dufresne, Dupont, Durand, Gaudreau, Groleau, Lafond, Laliberté, Larue, Lavallière, Lemay, Levasseur, Léveillée, Michaud, Molain, Paquin, Pérusse, Pit, Poisson, Pothier, Poulin, Rheaut, Rivard, Roy, St-Amand, Thibeault et Villemure. The fonds consists of personal papers of Mike Wendelboe and Mary Wendelboe, including their certificates and correspondence; Mary's genealogical and fictional writings; family memorabilia; genealogical articles written by Clara Sparks; and photographs of the Wendelboe family, the farm at Barons, Starline, and various Sparks, Lund, Sears, Forster and Slaymaker relatives.

The fonds consists of photographs of the Bowe and Kirkpatrick families at the Alkali Lake Ranch.

The Hawley Farm fonds consists mostly of documents concerned with the financial operation of the family farm, including some farming periodicals and catalogues. There are some personal papers from before 1900, from Jacob Q. Hawley and Mark Hawley, but most of the material is twentieth century. Also included are Donald Hawley's investigations into post-secondary education opportunities in the 1930's. Fonds is comprised of the following series: Donald Brandon Hawley, education, 1932-1933 Hawley family investments, 1946-1947 Agricultural periodicals and catalogues Jacob and Mark Hawley, personal papers Hawley farm accounts, 1900-1970

The collection consists of 1882 order-in-council giving details of ranching leases in the area; Bowness electors' lists (1934, 1935); Wallace's correspondence regarding early ranchers, including Thomas Stone, John Lister Kaye, T.H.B. Cochrane, William Beresford, and others; plans of the Calgary Hydraulic Company's ditch (1894); and extensive newspaper clippings about Bowness (1920-1940).

The fonds consists of microfilms of: letters of Fred to his father, P.W. Godsal (1882-1887); manuscript by Fred entitled "Memories of the Far West" (1922); and letters of Byam to his father (1883-1887). Also consists of photographs of the F.W. Godsal ranch (1909).
