Fonds consists of "An Act Respecting the University of Calgary", a report of the commission appointed to consider degree-granting powers, annual calendars, a copy of the architectural plan of university, an invitation to closing ceremonies (1913), a newsclipping, and preliminary announcement containing artist's rendering of proposed university layout.

The collection consists of 456 glass plate lantern slides featuring images relating to cartography, natural resources, First Nations, northern Alberta communities, and the oil and gas industry. Some of the images may have been created by Harry Pollard.

The collection consists of a variety of copied images including photographs featuring maps of the areas of Fort Garry, Fort Ellice, Fort Pitt, Fort Edmonton, the Yellowhead Pass, the North Saskatchewan River, and Fort McMurray dating from the 1880s; photographic copies of certificates and correspondence related to Col. Francis Mewburn dating from 1776 to 1880; photographs of the Lethbridge area featuring images of railways, dwellings, minters, engines, businesses such as H. Bentley and Co., T. Botterill Hardware, and members of the Blood Nation dating from the 1880s; photographs of Medicine Hat featuring a hospital and the Lady Aberdeen's Women's Hospital dating from 1894; images of Saskatchewan including a carbonizing and briguetting plant; photographs of the University of Alberta and the Edmonton area including images of campus residences, the Royal Alexandra Hospital, the University Hospital, classes of students, St. Joseph's College, CKUA Radio Station, farm buildings, the Oliver Institute, and First Nations dating from the 1920s.

The collection consists of materials pertaining to the Diamond Jubilee Convocation at the University of Alberta dating from 1968 including a copy of the address by Walter H. Johns, President of the University; a program; and booklets. The collection also includes a recording capturing a speech by U Thant. Thant's speech discusses the history and future of the United Nations, the educational system, peace, and the Vietnam War. In addition, the collection contains a recording capturing Pierre Trudeau receiving honorary Doctor of Laws degree. Trudeau's speech discusses Alberta's resources, the need for diversity within universities, the development of science, and the importance of giving aid to developing nations.

Consists of microfilms of Board of Governors and Executive Council minutes (1913; 1927-1958; 1958-1968; 1908-1966; 1934-1965). Includes course calendars with courses taught in Calgary after 1945 (1908-1966), calendars of awards for Edmonton and Calgary campus (1960-1966), examinations (1935-1965), reports of the Board of Governors [1913], the President's Report (1963-1964), and Report of the Special Committee on General Education (1948).

The collection consists of a souvenir book of the Canadian Grand Union Meeting of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen and Ladies' Societies, and photographs of the staff and students at the Western Canada College in Calgary, Alberta.

The collection consists of a typescript of a diary of Thomas L. Blake covering the period from 1893-1890. Collection also includes a photocopy of Blake's handwritten original diary.

Fonds consists of copies of The University of Calgary Masters theses and PhD dissertations.

Consists of history of the university from 1916 to 1966 by Sanders and Smith, clippings and photocopies of research material, 1909-1990, Bott's research material, and Smith's slides on the university's origins. Includes recorded interviews with Grant MacEwan (1987); and Mrs. A.L. Doucette, Frank Doucette, Lou Goodwin, W.H. Swift, and Mary Dover (1988).
