Dwight Logan fonds

The fonds consists of material relating to Mr. Logan's career as an Alderman and as the Mayor of the City of Grande Prairie; his time with CUSO, and his association with the Grande Prairie Liberal Association. The fonds is organized in four series: City of Grande Prairie Alderman, Mayor of Grande Prairie, Canadian University Service Overseas, and Grande Prairie Liberal Association.

Elmer Borstad fonds

The fonds consists of Elmer Borstad's personal papers, records as alderman and mayor including pages from a large scrapbook, records and photographs of involvement with the Chamber of Commerce and Northern Alberta Development Council, a scrapbook of records (1978-79) related to his nomination as candidate for the Progressive Conservative Party and subsequent election as MLA for Grande Prairie, a scrapbook of records as chairman of the QEII Foundation and head of the MRI capital campaign (1997-1999), and records of his chairmanship on the Capital Campaign Committee for building additional student residences at GPRC. There is also a mylared copy of a full-page 1959 advertisement "marking 12 years of service to Grande Prairie & District" , a booklet "The Canol Adventure" written by Mr. Borstad, and a photograph album detailing Elmer's involvement with RCSCC Micmac Squadron Sea Cadets (1955-1966), including photographs of the first Wrenette Corps in Alberta established in Grande Prairie in 1957.

I.V. Macklin fonds

The fonds consists of photographs of I.V. Macklin as a high school graduate, a university graduate, in the U of T Glee Club, in Grande Prairie with his wife Nellie and Dr. & Mrs. Forbes, on the UFA Board of Directors, as a candidate for the CCF party, at an NDP convention, and as an elderly man at home. The written records consists of a 1910 U of T yearbook; a book of Alberta Cooperative Leaders; a booklet containing many of Macklin's speeches and radio addresses, called Life is More Than Meat; and some newspaper artilcles about the life of I.V. Macklin written in 1971.

Municipal District of Spirit River No. 133 fonds

The fonds consists of records related to the administration and activities of the Municipal District of Spirit River including holding council meetings, passing by-laws, administering the M.D.'s finances, and assessing property and collecting taxes. The fonds also includes associated records containing historical information about the M.D. and vital statistics relating to the M.D.'s residents. The material dates from 1917 to 2001 and includes records such as minutes, by-laws, financial statements, cash books, general ledgers, miscellaneous financial ledgers, assessment and tax rolls and forms, tax arrears lists, miscellaneous tax ledgers, newspaper clippings, photographs, burial registers, and birth, marriage and death registers. The fonds is divided into five series based on record type and content: Executive records, Financial records, Tax records, Historical Information, and Provincial Vital Statistics Registers. Most of the records were originally housed in binders, ledgers, and bound books, many of which have been retained in their original form. In general, the archivist has arranged these ledgers and books according to type and chronology, maintaining original order in most cases.
