The fonds consists of materials collected by Stuart Lazear and dating from 1903 to 1978. The collection consists of a manual on architectural styles and instructions for completing inventory forms for the Historic Sites Service, Alberta Culture. There are also clippings of advertisements from the <i>Strathcona Plain Dealer</i>.

The copy of "Baughman's Buying and Selling Lumber" belonged to Ted Mayall who worked at John Walter's lumberyard in the wholesale and retail store in 1910.
