Stuart Lazear collection

The fonds consists of materials collected by Stuart Lazear and dating from 1903 to 1978. The collection consists of a manual on architectural styles and instructions for completing inventory forms for the Historic Sites Service, Alberta Culture. There are also clippings of advertisements from the <i>Strathcona Plain Dealer</i>.

Collection consists of copied photographs dating circa (ca.) 1900-1955 that were collected for use in her book, <em>Oh! The Coal Branch</em>. The photographs were borrowed by Toni Ross from various photographers, including Charles Lee, and they depict various people, views, buildings, machinery and accidents in mining towns such as Edson, Luscar, Cadomin and Mountain Park, Alberta. The collection also includes captions for the photographs and a book of ration coupons, likely from the 1940s.
