The fonds consists of a journal kept by William J. Noll from about 1914 to 1925. It records events in his life including homesteading in the Peace River Country, enlisting in the RNWMP and WWI, working in various industries including Oregon's lumber camps, and becoming an early commercial pilot in Oregon. The journal includes written entries, photographs, posters, some employment records, receipts, tickets, cards, and newspaper clippings. Several other loose records are inserted into the pages of the journal, including a WWI medal, Great War Veterans Association membership booklet, 1935 US naturalization papers, correspondence about his homestead and petroleum and natural gas leases, [ca. 1952] USAF course application, and 1917 Canadian naturalization papers. Two pages of genealogical notes presumed to have been written by Clem Kinderwater are also inserted.

The journal ends rather abruptly in January 1925 as William is on his way from El Paso to Portland. The final entry states "Contd in next book." Subsequent book(s) have unfortunately been lost.

The original order of the journal has been maintained, including the original position of inserted material.

The fonds consists of 61 photographs showing various stages in the life of Bill and Clara Sargent: the homestead at Harper Creek, the Morrision and Sargent Bus Service and trucks, the Sargent Sales & Service Garage in Grande Prairie, and the retirement home on the Smoky River.

The fonds consists of legal docments, such as objectives, by-laws and annual corporate summaries; minutes of the club from 1980-1990; a file on the specifications, purchase and use of "The Spirit of Grande Prairie", including the flight log book and photographs of the balloon; financial records; correspondence; and communications from associated organizations such as the Canadian Balloon Assoc., the Alberta Free Balloonist Society, the Canadian Aviation Safety Board, and Transport Canada.

The fonds consists of .5 cm of textual records and 98 photographs: a collection of early Grande Prairie belonging to Jack Mantle; a series of railway scenes and train accidents belonging to F.W. Schenk; and a series on working for the Forestry Service in the south Wapiti belonging to Dave Schenk. There are 15 documents, all relating to F.W. Schenk.

The fonds consists of one oral history relating Nick's experience homesteading and farming in the Lassiter area north of Eaglesham, and stories about the communities of Eaglesham, Belloy and Codesa. There are two photographs of Nick's wife Mary before she left Poland c.1938.

The fonds consists of letters written by or addressed to Arthur Smith, in his position as Publicity Director of the MPHA, and correspondence, minutes, 2 maps and 29 photographs collected by Alex Watt, Secretary of the MPHA. Included are three pamphlets, a copy of "Monkman Pass and Trail History" (1982), a hand drawn map of the trail, 11 newspapers (1936-1937) and newsclippings.

The fonds consists of 12 photographs taken or collected by John while he was working on the Monkman Highway in the summer of 1938, a copy of Memories of Bygone Days, and a series of news clippings detailing progress on the Monkman Highway during the years 1937-1938.

The fonds consists of photographs of Elmer Hagglund's career with railroading in the Peace Country, such as scenes of the Webster trestle bridge, an early ED & BC engine, Elmer Hagglund as section foreman in Sexsmith, the first Diesel to come into Dawson, and the switch crew at McLennan in 1944. The collection includes photographs of technical problems with rails and cars in the 1960s and photographs of Elmer's retirement party in 1964.

The fonds consists of a photocopy of Ella Patterson's handwrittem diary and another typed copy. There are daily entries from February 13 to April 23, 1911, describing their trip to Grande Prairie over the Long Trail from Edmonton, to Athabaska Landing, across Lesser Slave Lake to Grouard, then down to Sturgeon Lake, across the Simonette River to Bezanson and finally to the Grande Prairie. She mentions the conditons of the trail, the many stopping places and other travellers they met. Also included is a photocopy of Eliza and Alphaeus Patterson's family and a genealogy chart.

The sous-fonds consists of a rural road inventory of Wapiti study area #14 done in 1966; 940 plans and blueprints for roads and townsites surveyed in the County of Grande Prairie between 1910 and 1990; 1103 pipeline plans surveyed between 1959-2001.
