The collection is made up of five photographs donated to the Provincial Archives of Alberta from the collection of the Medicine Hat Museum and Art Gallery. The photographs include one photo of soldiers and nurses in front of St. Stephen's College, University of Alberta, one of Cadomin Mines, one of construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway bridge in Edmonton, one of construction of the High Level Bridge in Edmonton, and one of the horse "Edgewood Boy" owned by Alex Galbraith and Sons, Edmonton.

Barrie Millican of Calgary, Alberta dated ca. 1919, a contest poster from General Mailstores System Company dated 1929, circulation advertisements for <em>The Nor-West Farmer</em> dating 1918-1926, postal vouchers dated 1925, a notice from the <em>Edmonton Journal</em> circulation department dated 1930, an undated copy of <em>The Canadian Glider Boosters</em>, an undated glass plate negative depicting an unknown man, and an undated photograph depicting Howard Douglas. Fonds also includes a copied map depicting western Canada dated 1790, and various other maps depicting areas in northwestern Canada in the years 1874-1916 such as the North West Mounted Police territory, the Canadian Pacific Railway lines, the Riel Rebellion territory, the Elevators in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, and the Northern and Southern Alberta Disposition of Lands.

Collection consists of various records relating to the City of Edmonton Street Railway Department, Edmonton Street Railroad and Radial Railway, Canadian National Railroad, Canadian Northern Railway Company, Canadian Pacific Railway Company, Grand Trunk Pacific Companies, Northern Alberta Railways Company, Edmonton, Dunvegan and British Columbia Railway Company, and Central Canada Railway Company. Collection includes financial records, passenger statistics, correspondence, telegrams, equipment inventories, specifications and advertising catalogues, tenders, equipment and track standards, duplicate certificates of title, newsletters, newspaper clippings, a conductor's book, public notices and transit system schedules, employee files and seniority lists, radio advertising broadcast transcripts and advertising copy. Collection also includes plans and maps depicting various areas in Edmonton, Alberta that are serviced by transit and railroad companies. Collection also includes photographs that depict the interior and renovations of a street-car, and various railroad construction crews and equipment.
