The fonds consists of photocopies of pages relating to Athabasca from the 1900-1901 Lovells Directory of Manitoba, NWT; 1905,1907,1928-29 Henderson's Gazeteer and Directory; and the 1920, 1922 Wrigley's Directory. The archives also has a copy of the complete Henderson's Directory from 1914.

The fonds consists of four photographs of Colin Fraser leaving Athabasca for Fort Chipewyan in [1910]. Colin was the nephew of Simon Fraser. The last photograph is of a paddlewheel steamboat being built in Athabasca.

There are two other photographs of early Athabasca. The photo subject headings are : Athabasca River rapid, Bishop Breynat, Brother Girard, Canadian Northern Railway depot in Athabasca, Colin Fraser, Chesterfield Inlet, Cree woman, dog team, Monseignor Grouard, first airplane in north, Fort Providence, Fort Resolution, Great Bear Lake, Great Slave Lake, igloo, Inuit, kayak, and MacKenzie River ice breakup.

The fonds consists of a copy of the 1938 poem "Yarn of the Howling Gale, Cameron Shipyards, Athabasca" by William Bleasdell Cameron; a photograph of Mrs. Katherine Flynn (O'Brien); 2 articles about the 1907-1914 journey of Norwegian reindeer via Newfoundland, through Athabasca Landing to Fort Smith, NWT; a piece of pottery made by Athabasca Clay Products; a large framed photograph entitled "laying water main at Athabasca" [over the Muskeg Creek] with the name Voldeng & Bolton, 255 Jasper East, Edmonton written in one corner; and a photo of a man holding a hat (possible connections to Amber Valley).

The fonds consists of correspondence between Dr. Hinther and the Athabasca Archives; a newspaper article from the Athabasca Advocate of June 20, 2006; a Toles School preliminary approach paper; a media release; an invitation for Athabascans to meet Dr. Hinther and Anne Newlands at the Athabasca Archives; a Toles School interview questionnaire; and promotional material for the CMC including 2 DVDs. On October 30, 2006 CTV interviewed Dr. Hinther; a DVD copy was purchased. In 2007 a framed "Memorandum of Cooperation and Understanding" between the Canadian Museum of Civilization and the Athabasca Archives was given to the archives. In 2008-2009 additions included: a Toles School interpretive grid and diagrams, and four roller display banners with metal stands.
