This fonds consists of records and photographs of William Thomas Carlyle. The records include correspondence, financial statements, and reports relating to his participation as a director of the Alberta Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and its Northern Alberta branch, and a tribute to Hugh Alton MacGregor, written for the Edmonton Natural History Club and the Federation of Alberta Naturalists. Photographs consist of urban and rural scenes in and around Edmonton, including photographs taken under the New Horizons Project

The fonds consists of journal records of visitors to the Eagle's Nest and Summit Lake backcountry cabins. The journals contain entries by hikers,backcountry skiiers, Conservation Officers, Wardens and horse riders. The entries include thoughts, diary entries, housekeeping notes, weather reports and animal sightings.

Fonds consists of a copy of Winthrop S. Brooks' journal, entitled <em>Wild Fowling in Alberta, Canada, 1909</em>. The journal dates from August 1909 to February 1910.

The collection consists of two photograph albums. The first album contains 98 photographs, possibly of a survey trip in northern Alberta, and includes images of nature scenes, men being transported by boat, the men at camp, and the men cutting trees. The second album includes 92 photographs, possibly from about 1914, and one photograph tucked in the back from 1932 of a small girl, Pam; the images in this album include nature scenes, the MacDonald Hotel, Edmonton stores, a detachment of First World War soldiers, Edmonton during a flood, bridges, trains and various unidentified people pursuing leisure activities (such as boating, picnics).
