Warren Sinclair's Metis Genealogy collection

The collection consists of approximately 450 short biographies of Metis ancestors and 910 descendancy tables. Most of the individuals charted were born before 1900. The biographies and tables are indexed by surname.

The collection consists of three audio reels containing 16 hours of recorded stories and legends recounted by eight Cree Elders of the Wabasca/Desmarais area. Ray Yellowstone captured these stories in 1968.

The fonds consists of a binder containing scanned copies of photographs, articles and maps with photographs; a CD containing digital images of 500 photographs used in the "Journey to the Millenium" display chronicalling the growth of the Valleyview and Sturgeon Lake area; and a CD containing digital images of a 1910 Fur Trade Ledger from the Revillon Freres Trading Post at Sturgeon Lake operated by the Williamson family.

Trails of the Prairie Provinces Research Project collection

The reports document the Blackfoot Trail, Boundary Commission Trail, Calgary-Edmonton Trail, Fort Walsh-Qu'Appelle Trail, Macleod Trail, Missouri Trail, Old Wives Trail, Peace River-Yukon Trail, Red River Settlement Trail, Red River Trail, Whoop-Up-Fort Benton Trail, and other trails.

Tom Watrous' Grey Owl collection

The collection consists of a photocopy of the diary kept by Grey Owl while he was a warden at Riding Mountain National Park in 1931; National Parks Service correspondence (1931-1958) concerning his service; Parks Canada reports concerning the restoration of his cabins in Riding Mountain and Prince Albert National Parks; materials related to Watrous's research and lectures concerning Grey Owl; and slides of Grey Owl and his wife Anahareo.

Thomas and Mildred Laurie collection

The collection includes material relating to Alert Bay that was created or collected by Thomas and Mildred Laurie, as well as photographs and textual records created or received by James Barclay Williams, who bequeathed the records to Mildred Laurie. The collection includes a photo album, photographs, postcards, correspondence, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and a calendar. Photographs document Alert Bay and the surrounding area, including the B.C. Packers store, Christ Church, the native cemetery, St. Michael’s Residential School and Preventorium, Canada Packers, Hardy Bay, totem poles, a long house, and the Nimpkish Hotel. Photographs also document local events, including potlatches, weddings, an outdoor salmon barbeque, BC centenary celebrations in 1958, native ceremonies, and a visit by the Governor General.
