Leo Shea including, baptismal certificate, academic recommendations from St. Bonaventure's College, letter of recommendation as a prospective candidate for the priesthood (1951), academic reports from All Hallows College, Ireland, letters of pastoral appointment, letters of condolence including correspondence from the Lieutenant Governor and the House of Assembly. Fonds also includes printed material related to his life.

The fonds consists of a limited number of legal and political papers. It includes one indenture, dated 8 August 1888, for the property known as "Darby O'Hollohan's Plantation." The fonds also includes one confidential letter to William V. Whiteway from Robert Bond, dated 23 June 1891, which examined the prospects of the Confederation between Newfoundland and Canada.
