Cross family collection

The collection consists of 338 photographs, one negative, and documents relating to the cross family. The photographs in the collection come from four family albums donated by Don Cross after the death of his mother. They consist primarily of outdoor activities in and around Prince Rupert featuring family and friends as Don described his parents as great outdoors people who went everywhere. Areas and subjects in the photographs include: Salt Lakes, Metlakatla, Hays Mountain, Picnic Bay, Lucy Islands, Falls River, Remo, LakeElse Lake, Victoria, pets, steamships and people playing shuffleboard on deck, docks, railway tracks, swimming, boating, hiking, camping, scouts, class picnics, nurses, parades, the drydock, and fishing. It also includes a Canadian Red Cross registration form for Alan (1944-1945), and a Prince Rupert High School certificate for Phyllis (1925).

Fonds consists of records created in the pastoral charges of Blackhead-Western Bay, Blackhead, and Western Bay. Records relate to the functional bodies of the Charge which include various boards, committees, organizations and groups. Included are vital statistics, minutes, correspondence, membership lists, accounts and published material.

The records are arranged in the following series: Baptism, marriage, and burial records (1816-1979); Membership Records (1894-1978); Board and committee records (1878-1982); Property records (1906, 1931); Education records (1875-1952); Women's Groups records (1923-1989); Youth Groups records (1935-1967); Records of other groups (1896-1940); Sunday School records (1926-1942); Church Publications/Histories (1973-1982); Annual reports (1978-1989) and Financial Records (1809-1992).

British Wesleyan Methodist Conference Newfoundland District fonds

Fonds consists of minutes of the organization from 1829-1858, including minutes of the Newfoundland Auxiliary of the Wesleyan Missionary Society, 1838-1844; reports and accounts pertaining to the Newfoundland District of the British Wesleyan Methodist Conference, 1840-1853 and Sabbath school reports, 1844-1859.

This fonds includes correspondence (mostly of the New Brunswick Society for the Encouragement of Agriculture, Home Manufactures and Commerce), 1850-1854, 1858, 1868, 1871, 1882-1900, and later with the Director of Agricultural Societies, 1961, 1969-1971; Schedules of Awards (and prize lists for fairs and exhibitions), lists of subscribers, Annual Returns, receipts for purchases and work performed for the individual Societies; 1874-1875 etc. and for the provincial Society (including Matthew Stead's receipts for work on the Exhibition buildings (1850s), (Printed) Minutes of the New Brunswick Society for the Encouragement of Agriculture, Home Manufactures and Commerce, 1850-1854 and handbills from various agricultural societies.

For the most part, this fonds consists of individual documents, but does include minute books for the following Agricultural Societies: Blackville and Derby, 1889-1944; Black River, 1953-1992; Gloucester County, 1848-1852; Loggieville, 1936-1945; Northumberland County, 1960-1970; Salmon Beach, 1919-1982; St. Hilaire, 1875-1976; and York County, 1841-1863.

Lastly, it includes one ledger of the New Brunswick Agricultural Societies United, 1955-1973.

Maternal Association of Milltown St. Stephen

This fonds consists of a minute book which contains minutes of meetings of the Maternal Association of Milltown St. Stephen, as well as lists of members and their children and a copy of the constitution.

A number of pages have been removed from the book. The final entry, dated 1879, concerns the death of an unnamed woman.

Trinity Benefit Club fonds

The fonds consists of the administrative and operational records of the Trinity Benefit Club from its inception in 1838, until the present. The bound volumes include the original rules and regulations of the club, minutes of meetings, treasurers accounts, enrollment, dues, and benefits. The files contain correspondence, applications and proposals for membership, notes and loose accounts, as well as clippings and photographs from the 150th Anniversary celebration of the club in 1988. One file contains material on the Trinity Benefit Club collected and created by Walter G. C. White. It includes news clippings, some extracts from Slade Diaries, Centennial posters, Rules and Regulations and a scrapbook on the History of the Trinity Club by Rev. Canon Lockyer, which includes photographs of many of its presidents.

The records have been organized in four series: Series 1, Rules, regulations and minutes, 1838- 1983; Series 2, Treasurer's records, 1838-1877; Series 3, Membership, 1844-1966; Series 4, General files, 1869-1988.

These fonds consists of records pertaining to the Summerford-Moreton's Harbour Pastoral Charge. The records relate to the activities of the charge and its functional bodies which included Women's Association activities, Financial Management of the pastoral charge and pastoral charge vital statistics.
